Fucking shit. I just dumped out one of my thrashcans of super soil and it smells like SHIT baddddddddddddddddddd.
I had to immediately leave my garage.
When I say shit I meen it. It smells like it was filled with strait poop.
 
just dump it all out and turn it for a couple weeks and it will be fine. imo amending soil and locking it up in trash cans is not a good idea. better to pile it on a tarp and loosely cover with another tarp. allowing it to breath. i put all used soil in 200 gallon smart pots. i use these to re-amend and i leave them uncovered while they heat up and eventually settle.
 
thats an interesting point, never had problems with trash cans, i find trash cans work better at keeping bugs out, when i am not too lazy i use aerated compost tea before transplant.

the smell is pooer when I have too much water in the bin. I transplant when the plants are small and they dont hit the SS for a good 7-10 days ... after a couple wet-dry cycle the population of anaerobic bacteria is probably on the decline?

Probably not Fucked. Mine been sitting 6 weeks and I open it just for a peak every couple days and I dumped it out and mixed it 2 days ago and had a dry spot. I'm sure it will be fine maybe leave it on a tarp for a day mix it and repeat every day for a well, it should sort itself out make stray wooks piss on it
 
I dont really have anywere to let it sit out that long. I cant leave it in my driveway much longer. I cant put it in my backyard cause my dogs will piss and shit on it. I cant leave it in my garage cause it will make my house stink.

Im trying to move by the end of the month or sooner so maybe ill have somewere to let it sit out at the new place.
I think its gotta go back in the trashcan for now.

This is pretty lame though I was hoping to start using it in a few days.
 
a few days might do it, start turning it and see. ive used smelly ass super soil that i over watered and noticed no ill effects.
 
Yeah I'd say just give it some time to breath and turn it some. In the future just check it every few days and if you start to smell something, you need to turn it and give it a little air then it can go back. I think sub said he turns his after a couple weeks.
 
My first tea I used a cup of Espoma organic fert (instructions on the side of the bag) and it worked pretty well but smelled just like shit! I used the tea in my garden and dumped the solid waste in a bare spot in the garden. this is what grew there:

I went out front to mix it up and there are way to many neighbors seeing a bid ass pile of soil in my driveway. So im sectioning off a area in my backyard to keep my dogs out and move it asap.
 
Hey sub, i was checking out the weed nerd #128 - i like the idea of the watch it grow clips. You do have the date germed on the tags in the pots, but we do not know when the video was shot in reference to that. Since you are mashing several days into one episode it would be cool for you to anounce what stage/day of life the plant is in, veg, flower etc. Food for thought anyway!
 
Mohican lives in ganjaland :) I can't wait to get out west and grow some crazy beasts like that. I kinda want to see how big I can possibly grow one :)
 
You know we will ;) Will be puff puff puffin' on my early timewreck samples... so much smoother than this commercial crap I got even though quick dried.
