G&B- Aeration was poor, dried unevenly, very coarse, ph fluctuations varied too much.
I don't have any of those problems, but I use 25% G&B potting soil, 25% peat moss, 25% perlite and 25% decomposed cow manure. Runoff stays 6.5-6.7 with no lime (other than what's in the G&B), depending on the batch. G&B potting soil runoff, I've checked probably a half-dozen bags using one gallon samplings, is always 6.6 - 6.7. The high pH of the cow manure offsets the peat moss low pH. I've constructed a AACT brewer (here) and for the first time will use brewed teas to feed the grow mix.

To each his/her own.

I think it may have been a reaction to my nutes/water..... it just fluctuated too much when it came time to feed. the mix your discribing sounds ideal though. I like G&B don't get me wrong. Just not by itself ;), and not for indoor use at all.

That is a good deal. I wish craigslist had more to offer for my area. Though with a deal like that, it would probably be worth the drive to it pick up. Thanks, I will look into areas a bit farther away to see if I can come up with a good deal like that.

Finally got the bulk of the soil moved. At least to the point that I can now focus on putting up the raised beds and putting the plants in them,
. So you can see the Greenhouse will be in a set of three terraces (steps down). These pics were taken at about 7:30, still getting a little bit of sun, and its been hitting the spot there starting at 5:45 in the morning
. I have decided to drop a couple more small trees for added sun exposure. I have also decided not to move the moms back and forth, they are out for good now, and will be transplanted into raised beds as the raised beds manifest themselves,
. I actually transplanted the two PK mommas that are right next to the beds in the pics.
. The batteries were dying in my camera, but I will get more pics soon, and the outdoor updates should start to become more frequent (hopefully).

Waking up hazy and dazed, unfolding and looking around. Having just been curled up on the ground, A cool breeze lightly rustles the nerves, and heavy eyelids blink up and then down..... and up and then down, as the lime green leaves sway and reflect so much colour back, rising and standing weakly. They are dancing, they are shaking, the leaves, they are making such a comforting sound. Birds chirping in high and low pitches, swooping and flying on the breeze, the breeze that remains constant, gently tugging in this direction and that. sweet pollen and honey suckle smells inviting you into the forest for a moment. And the music starts to build, and a heart starts to be filled, regaining strength and looking around and realizing in awe at the majesty of the giant oak and pines, a persons true place in this world, and where we stand now. Thoughts become mixed and drowned out by the music, floating step by step through the waist high grasses , swishing at hips that are gliding seemingly effortlessly through their budding tips in the meadows Lost on the sound of natures song. Blooms and blossoms, flowers catching the eyes, reds, blues, purples, yellows, oranges and pinks, a rainbow mixed in with the sea of green before you, more than one had realized could so easily and so naturally be seen, be held and kept so effortlessly. A cloud passes through, briefly shading out the sun, and the you see the shadows dance on all these natural forms leading the eyes to a formation of rocks, granite boulders in a great heap just up ahead, moss covered on one side with a slight crack off to the other side a person could slip through. And so you do, and you feel the temperature change as you pass through the crack, like walking through an invisible barrier, a pocket in our earths spirit. The crack opens up to reveal a pathway going into the unknown of this heap of granite. Exciting! something new, only nature could carve and stack these stones, just for me to walk through just now. A bit musty, water leaks down from over head. winding and weaving and forking this way and that, after a while you find yourself thirsty. OK, whats that? Running water near by, some where up ahead. As you approach and the sound of the water gets louder, you see the light, another crack shining daylight through for you to see. Making your way there, focusing on the sound of the water, and out into the open sunshine, live water just off to the side, a little waterfall spitting out from the granite forms. A nice cool drink later, and you realize your standing in a patch of cannabis. You notice hundreds of strains you know and love, their smells and colors attracting your every sense. There are no tracks on the ground, no water lines, no evidence of other human activity. The soil is all natural, nothing packed in. Just to be sure you climb to the top of one of the Giant granite boulders surrounding the patch, with the creek running through the center. No one is around, no trails at all, in fact there is nothing but the most beautiful forest around. But how are you here? How did you come to this place? This patch is completely cut off from the rest of the world, encircled by these granite boulders. Over in the corner near the crack you emerged from, something shiny catches your eye. Climbing down, and getting closer, you can read the plaque that says, "To any that venture here, let it be known your true self is contained in this place, that you are lain to rest, and have faced all there is to face." Looking up once more at the crack whence you came, you realize the crack is gone, and all that's left is the etch of your name. Turning back to the patch, family and loved ones start speaking to you, laughing, crying, and speaking every word you ever wanted them to speak. Their faces are in the buds, their voices in the creak. And all at once, you realize you shouldn't be this young, and this place shouldn't exist. Suddenly wisdom and revelation float in on the mist. You breathe it in, just for fun, and you know you have finally gotten here, you have finally won. Time to set out with the sunset on your back, knowing that your dead, and happy about that fact.

That's a beautiful spot, and the plants look real happy! can't wait to see the trees they'll turn into.

It's the willingness to give for the benefit of others that will give you many happy returns!

the seedlings went outside yesterday afternoon, and stayed out over night. No noticeable stretch (only been 24 hrs), but sexing is maturing more rapidly, and the nice breeze is giving them something to grow up against
. Im pretty sure inside of the next two weeks, I should have them all sexed up,
. The Maui Skunk seedlings I did not move outside. I want to keep a mom of it, and there are only five of them, so they just sit perfectly under a 400W MH. Today will be the 4th day of the moms being outside, they look pretty happy.... a little wind whipped by this wind storm that's been coming through yesterday and today. The moms sister plants that I put outside to flower are flowering nicely, but I fear that if I leave them outside for too much longer they will reveg, and I don't want them to go through that hassle, so pretty soon they will go inside to finish flower (provided electricity stays on :/ )...... Things actually got much worse yesterday, as far as my personal situation...... FML.....

All those seedlings are starting to show sex. Couple confirmed females, and a few that are looking like males.... we shall see over the next week or so how many ladies come out of that batch. And I am planting more seeds here this evenning...... might get a few out in pots this season anyways.... happy days all.....

Good to seee everything is progressing. So is there enough light outside to put vegging plants outside? I have some mothers in my garage that I would love to throw outside side soon.
I agree with cph, that is a beautiful spot. It looks like a great place to just be. I like the Pearl Jam video too, I am surprised that I haven't seen it before.

for me in my spot here, yeah.... can put em out. Not sure about you though...... I know you are further north... typically the further north, the later you wait to put plants out. You could plant seeds outside right now and they wouldn't flower, I could pretty much guarantee you that. Seeds would have to grow to maturity before they could even start to flower. Im starting more seeds inside though..... just so they get the extra light. Fairly sure that by the first week of June your Moms can go outside.

Grapefruit X NYCD,

and AK-47 x (Destroyer x Kali Mist) >>> F2s <<< (AKA Red Buddha, but Im thinking of maybe giving it a new name once I have flowered it out)

those are the seeds I am about to plant ^^^^ I will do a picture update after a few more days when the seedlings are showing more sex.

Cool ,thanks. I will hold off. I gave a buddy of mine one of my re-vegging clones and he put the damn thing outside and it is all jacked up now. I will wait until june before I move them outside. I like the new genetics. You are gonna have a little of everything going on. It is a beautiful thing to have so many different meds.

One of my patients has shoots of pain that start at the base of her spine, and shoot up her back into the base of her cerebellum. they come in waves, and she hasn't found just the right strain for it yet ;).... variety is so lovely. I practiced some Tai Chi earlier, and I am feeling a lot less stressed out about everything, so thats a plus. Smoking a bowl now.... by myself actually, which really is a rarity. Its a nice escape every once in a while, ........ dreamy music.... just me..... beautiful day outside today. The sky is my favorite color/colour blue, there is a cooling gentle breeze, its about 80 degrees, birds chirping in every direction, and all of the wildflowers are blooming! There is a lot of local blue lupins that pop out against the oranges, reds, pinks, and yellows of the other flowers. People are out and about all over the place..... busy springing about spring. And I am just sitting. I don't have anything I have to do at the moment, and thats wierd.... not much I really can do at the moment, so I will sit for a while and finish this bowl with my head out there..... you know, in the upper atmosphere..... ;)

I think I may play in the dirt today :).
