$15 dollar an hour to flip burgers lol.
Is this the kind of entitlement we"re seriously considering in America now?
I teach chemistry at a local college and I get paid under $11 an hour. I have a bachelor's and I'm working on my masters.

Someone who spent their time in highschool smoking pot and getting drunk while I was bleeding out of my fucking eyeballs reading AP bio, calc, chem etc should make the same amount of money as me? I thought this was a capitalist fucking economy. Mother fuckers should be glad there is a minimum wage at all. You can't live on 9.50 an hour? Then how am I in one of the most expensive cities in my geograpic region?

Its because I don't:
-buy new jordans when they come out
-have kids out of wed lock (hmm I can barely afford to keep myself out of my parents house, I'm gonna have a fuckin babby hurp derp)
-have a cellphone with unlimited calling, text, internet
-have a car made in the last 15 years
-drink at bars or buy alcohol from places that aren't grocery stores
-smoke cigarettes
-have internet, cable, and netflix
-eat out at resturants every day
-have a credit card


Dude I could go on all day. Ive got friends who work min wage jobs, yet do ALL of the things above. Theyre not struggling to live theyre struggling to look like theyre rich. No one whos poor wants to admit they are poor anymore. Its like some sort of sick fucking joke. No shit you cant pay your rent or take out a loan to go back to school, you ruined your credit buying 6 dollar shots, rims, and paying alimony to your baby momma bc you wont get 2 jobs it might cut into your "hard earned" down time. Fuck off I worked 60 hours a week to pay my way through undergrad

The point is, people making minimum wage (@9.50) have more than enough money to live. Fuck, the average person in India and Africa live on less than 2 dollars a day and they have INCREASING POPULATIONS. Clearly they're living, and on $2 a DAY not $70. Just because you have to skip Christmas every other year or buy your kids toys from the dollar tree and not toys r us doesn't mean you're "not living" or dead. It means you fucked up and didn't realize the value of education and hard work. Sure some people are born at the top and others the bottom, but guess what mother fuckers. The poorest 1% of americans are still better off than 50% of the worlds population. This country has gone to shit, people think just because they were born in amerikkka that they're supppsed to have access to privaprivate schools, range rovers, and 5 star resturants. Wake up and smell the coffee that you've never drank in your life, if you weren't born rich you have to fight for it. Fucking imagine that.

Buck you probably just want to call me a racist or you're assuming I'm a gun ho republican. I'd actually identify with liberal ideology but if there's one thing I dont handle its people getting by being freeloaders. There are kids in 3rd world countries who would kill their parents just for the chance to work for american min wage, and here we have complainers.

i was actually gonna accuse you of wanting a race to the bottom and misstating simple, simple facts.

but it's nice to see someone claiming not to be a racist before the accusation is even pointed at them. that preemptive action is not telling at all.

i was also gonna mock you for the notion that anybody can just bootstrap themselves up to success. even if such a utopian brain fart were true, who would scrub the toilets once we're all millionaires?

better yet, who would service 10-15 guys per day at $20 a pop?

As much as I'd love to tango I'm gonna have to pass on parts of this one.
I don't want the elimination of the minimum wage, its perfect where it is and prevents any bottom racing.
I never said everyone can/will become a millionaire purely through hardwork. That kind of success is usually due to extreme luck or generational advantage. I'm talking about 100-500k a year something most will still never attain because most people are generally weak willed. I mean why do people spend thousands of dollars on a product that knowingly gives them cancer? Because they're essentially animals. Slaves to their media and bodily urges lol. Dont worry we will never have a country full of millionaires, there will always be plebians because we lack any sort of life threatening consequences for inaction, or halfassed action. And we all know plebs love the path of least resistance

I think there are some details missing here. Are you a Teaching Assistant (hence, "working on [your] masters")? I find it difficult to believe someone teaching at the collegiate level is getting paid that little unless there are some peculiar variables being omitted from that equation.
