Hello every one Im totally new to this and Im just screwing around with growing. I threw a couple seeds in a pot and they just started growing. Its just miracle grow potting soil, the kind you dont need to mix. the light is a 23w cfl. it was just sitting under a lap for 1 month and this is what it looks like now. I just build this box today because it can get cold in here at night. the two little round leaves already died off and the two larger leaves now appear to be dying now.

What do you guys think about the box.20130124_161332.jpg20130124_224048.jpg

Creative, how do you get your plant to grow sideways?
Do you water it? You have not fed it yet, have you? Temps?
Water PH?

Miracle Gro soil is a no-no for cannabis plants. The time released nitrogen capsules are too hot for young seedlings.

like i said I just threw the seeds in there and it started to grow. The bigger leaves are way more dead today so Im pretty sure it is a goner. I gave it a little vit-b stuff the other day but thats all. it would be cool if it could pull through but if not oh well. temp is probably around 75-80 and I have no idea what the humidity is. thw little box is not even close to being air tight it just sits over the top to keep the warmth up. Do you think there is anything I can do to bring it back?

I can't believe it's taken a month to get that far. Is it on any sort of light schedule? Have you grown anything ever? Are you 18 yet?

I would say it's a goner...pull the cord, may it rest in peace.

You may consider do some reading before starting another, as we could assume that your neglect caused the premature demise of the doomed innocent.

You could contemplate a few more lights to achieve more desirable results, as 23w may be considered as a probable deficiency.

ok so it would seem i was over watering or something. IT CAME BACK TO LIFE! What do you think? I think it may be a super plant. I originally stuck a seed in a pot that is on the side of my house that doesnt get any light. It sprouted and was dangling over the edge when I returned home from vacation. I dug it out of there and re-potted20130209_142504.jpg it in a small pot. had some other seed start to sprout in the small pot so I dug it up again to re-position. then after thinking about what is going to happen next I realized that it would be near impossible to get out of the small pot once it got bigger so up it came again. I broke all the other sprouts this time but the original survived. that is when I put in in the 2 gal pot in my first post where it looked like it was dying. It definitely came back to life.

Its on 24hr light right now in the little box, I dont feed it anything other than whats in the miracle grow. every day it gets bigger. it seems to be liking the environment I have provided. What do you guys think? should I change anything?

ok buddy......it's looking better but still is a bit small for 6 weeks old.

Have you increased your lights beyond 23 watts yet?

I actually think its kind of remarkable that in a months time a plant got to where it should be in 2 weeks. That must mean there must of been nothing popped up for at least 3 weeks and it was still alive. That's one tough seedling.

I'll take that challenge and grow plants sideways.. so I can grow a 30ft Afghani down the hallway.
