best words of advice I was ever given for the first 3 months of a new born babies life and what to expect etc.

Direct from my mother.

babies only need a few things!

a full belly
Clean bum
Sleep

every 4 hours feed them, change them, burp them and stick them back in bed for another 4 hours.

spent the first 3 months of both my boys life like this and it was such a brilliant piece of advice.

if You make baby fit in with your life then you’re wrong.

you fit in with theirs!

Congrats @Wizzlebiz were all gonna be here when you need us lol.

Congrats! I didn’t quit when my twin boys were born, smoking that is... wasn’t growing at the time. But... couldn’t give up smoking. That’s what got me through the first year and1/2. May be different for you with one but many nights were sleepless with twins. Would’ve gone nuts without canna. Or maybe snapped and been a name on the news. Thanks to canna my twins survived. Sharp is good but honed to a fine edge can get sketchy. Especially when you are used to it. If you are quitting outright expect your dreams to get ultra weird and vivid!

Three milestones I’ll never forget from my kids childhoods is 1) when they went from 3 naps to 2. 2) When they from 2 naps to 1. And finally when they learned to say No.

But for real congratulations, and remember Benadryl is your friend bongsmilie

My best tip I can give is...

Don't tip toe around them and try not to make noise when they start sleeping/napping. You may want nothing more at the time for them to sleep and be quiet to give yourself a break but it's best to make normal living noises when they nap.

You want them to be able to sleep through normal activities otherwise you will be forever sneaking around like a ninja to accomplish things when they are sleeping/napping.

Congratulations man! Wish you the best of lucks and may your kids be born with great health! Remember just like growing plants, patience is one of the best things when it comes to kids.

Start saving for college! Unless they have free colleges where you live, like here xD.

Congrats, fatherhood is wonderful and nothing short of a blessing

All that aside.... keep on puffing! Where would you get the idea that being a smoker would make you less of a father?

I smoke all day long while working and then during dinner prep I might duck into the master bath for an extra long pee (toke time), then after bedtime we smoke 1-2 joints.

We miss no part of being enriching/encouraging parents! Just work hard at keeping your kid occupied and outdoors.

Also kids are awfully handy go-fers around the grow. They're none the wiser until they're about 4-5. My kids happened along some outdoor pot that was drying once, I walked in and they were all rubbing their heads and faces all over the stuff like rooting pigs. Once they saw me watching they told me how good it smells, and kept rubbing it all over themselves, thought we should hang it all over the house. Twas cute

And they love it come spring when we're starting 100+ plants (veggies and ornamentals) under the lights (they think that stuff is cool as hell) in the basement. When everybody starts thinking about their garden my kids have already transplanted everything outside and are gifting plants to friends and neighbors.

I'd no more set down my joint than my beer for fatherhood. It's a celebration, not a job or chore.

Be a good father AND enjoy your weed because life is good!

If I'm honest about who I was and who I have become..... I know I would have been way further along in life had I not been couch locked most of my teen and adult life.
Fkin awesome. Is realising these little/ big things and the impact they have on a little humans life that give that extra... by default.

Has nothing to do with socially acceptable tbh. It has to do with being sharp at every possible turn for the kid.

I feel my job as a parent is simply to show my child how the world works and more importantly how to make the world work for you.

If I'm honest about who I was and who I have become..... I know I would have been way further along in life had I not been couch locked most of my teen and adult life.

I will miss it though.
As time passes by and your kid grows into a young man or woman, know that Mary Jane will be waiting with open arms. She’s very patient.
