Thoughts and comments- just started Week 3 grow tent

Hey just showing my first run and i am starting my third week of Flower.

In the tent i have 4 clones. Chocolope, Green Kush, Green Crack, and Larry OG. Clones, and trained them with gardening wire. Then put in the scrog and when they started reaching just past i flipped to flower. Using Bat Guano top dressing and will start every other with Langbenite and Bat Guano. And due to my tents slightly higher temps I’m using CO2 via mushroom bag hanging. And if you see white dust i treat it once to twice a week with organic diatomaceous earth to prevent mites etc.

When should i stop the top dress?

Thoughts and tips are appreciated!!

Personally I feed until they look about a week out from finishing. I feed lower EC feeds in flower anyway. Then water only the last week. I used to try to go 2 but if they don’t finish in that time the bud starts to suffer with just water.

Nice job by the way. They look very good.

Is diatomaceous earth safe to have on your buds? I would think not to use it in flower. Solve problems before flower cycle starts.

Why would you put it on flowers? Use it on top of the medium as a dressing. It’s safe to use in the intended manner all the way through to chop.

Are you the OP?
I see it all on the leaves in the picture. Learn to read. I said "use in flower " not on the buds. OP said that's what is was. I know how do use it. I will never use it I'm my tent. I am inside, I know how to not over water and keep my tent clean. Two main causes for bugs

Thanks man, i hadn’t read anywhere not to use it. But i am still learning and appreciate the advice. I will only use on top of the medium dressing. I don’t use it as much anymore since i flipped. I use it more so as just preventative maintenance. Maintaining the nutrients, they seem to do well with the level I’m providing and are doing well!

Look forward to posting at end of week 4!!

I had mites from one clone i got from my friend. I keep it clean and don’t over water, but i only do the diatomaceous earth sparingly since i flipped as preventative maintenance.

Wash your bud after you chop. Do it once and you’ll be a believer. There’s YouTube videos on it. Does not wash off any THC.

Thoughts on defoliating fan leaves blocking flowers?

I’ve read it’s not bad to do, but at the same time i don’t want to shock the plant. And if i do defoliate, best taking the fan leaf from the edge where it comes out, or just where the leaf starts?

I only defoliate the largest fan leaves and only enough to see filtered light below.

Sorry for the long delay guys but i ended up with 12oz and smoked pretty well!! I think due to the stress the Green Kush went hermie as i found seeds in some of it. However the other three strains didn’t seem affected.

thanks everyone for all the advice!!
