Tiny Trichs and not turning amber

I just chopped one of my Platinum OG auto a couple of days ago because it had gone 94 days! The trichs were not turning amber, not the first one; and the trichs were super tiny, too small to see very well with a 10X loupe, so I bought a USB microscope and still, only cloudy trichs. Anyone ever grown weed with tiny trichs or that never turned amber? About a week ago I snipped a smallish (about an eighth) stem of bud and let it dry and tried a test smoke. Three bong bowls and it barely gave me a buzz. I'm going to be really pissed if this is garbage weed after all the love I put into growing it. The quantity of bud was unreal, probably a lb on a 22" tall plant, not topped or anything.

Why does it matter how many days it was before you chopped it. It’s ready when it’s ready.

A pound on a plant under 2 ft? You either weighed it wet, threw out a random number, hit a new world record, or had a 8 ft wide plant.

Congrats on your harvest!
The one you mention not finishing, did it have issues in flower that may have prolonged it? Have any pictures to share? Thank you.

If you’re talking about the plant in your journal, you harvest it wat too early and it looks around a few ounces , not a pound

How many days of the 94 were veg light cycle? Also, the plant probably just sucks, or you stunted it. Trics develop fairly early, they just take awhile to ripen. No trics is bad genetics or bad grower. No offense

It's an autoflower so it was on 24/7 light cycle. I germinated them in water then planted them gently into their permanent pots, so no disturbance. They grew vigorously for the first month or so then pretty much stopped when they started putting on bud. I cared for them better than most of the 200+ plants I've grown over the years, so I don't think stress is the issue. I have two more from the same seed pack and they're exhibiting the same "tiny trich" trait. We'll just have to wait and see for the final smoke report.

I'm not aware of any issues. There were no root maggots, and no weird leaves that would be caused by that. No pest problems ever. Everything was perfect as far as I know. I thought about taking pix - after I chopped and hung it. I guess I could post pix of that.:D:D

I checked my remaining two plants yesterday and one of them is getting the chop tomorrow. It had about 40% amber trichs yesterday. I think it will be fully ready tomorrow. Did a test bud a few days ago and it was already much better than the first plant with tiny trichs. These two remaining plants have normal trichs, much larger and much more numerous than the first one.
