Uh, OK. That is an educated response that proves absolutely nothing.MG is SHIT
Last year was my first experience with MG MC soil. Overall, the grow went fine. I did acquire a gnat problem, but it was never a real issue. If I saw one of the bastards, I would kill it. This year, when I bought the same exact soil, I noticed the bag was "stiff" and the soil was clumped together. My only reasoning for this would be, this bag went through last winter, and it gets fucking cold here. I broke apart the soil, planted my MJ, and not 1 single gnat this year! The cold may have killed any gnats in the soil, which was fine with me. This also may be one way to purge "Any" soil (I've heard gnats can be in any soil purchased in a bag) from bugs, if, you live in Northern Country where you could leave the bag outside where it will freeze.Anybody here have issues with gnats? My last grow I decided to try MG because that is all I could find where I live, just before the onset of flowering I noticed a gnat problem in my grow room. The container I use to store my soil was full of them when I opened it too. I have heard this issue from people regarding MG before, first time I have ever experienced it myself, and I have bought tons of soil... Thoughts anyone?
I still have 6 bags left that were stored in one of my rooms but there was gnats in them too. I moved them out to my shed (unheated) to try and freeze the little fuckers to death. It has been down to damn near -30 C here and well below zero for quite a while now, hopefully that does the trick. I did not have any problems with the soil though, and the gnats are not bothering the plants at all, just me and the mrs.Last year was my first experience with MG MC soil. Same with me; first time around I had more issues with MG. This time, WAY better experience. I used absolutely NO NUTES until flower stage. I've documented every single change, nute, trimming, water amounts, PH, etc. this grow, which is helping me not to make the same mistake, twice.I just pulled about an ounce off a mj mg mc plant. There were a lot of problems that were due to 'first timer' error and specially with some of the problems. It was a great learning experience, but I have moved to roots now with dolomite lime and I have not seen a problem yet.. though gotta wait until 12/12 cause that is when the MG MC soil messed with my grow.. plagued with deficiencies from 3 week of flowering until harvest. I like this better as I have not seen a red stem yet, and those were common through the whole grow. Not a bad soil, but not one for someone who can not judge leaf/plant deficiencies. Just my 2 cents and experience with Miracle Grow Moisture Control 6 mo. feed.
How many weeks into flower, and how many days from sprout are the ones in pic 7?View attachment 2450347View attachment 2450348View attachment 2450349View attachment 2450350View attachment 2450351View attachment 2450352View attachment 2450353View attachment 2450354View attachment 2450355
Everything you see here is being grown in a MG Organic mix. I add a shit ton of perlite and some manure. Works great. Good to add perlite as MG does have a problem with draining well. All these pics are of my current pepetual grow
