Then you should prolly make that clear in the OP.The thread was started for the soil, MG nutes were never an argument for me. I just wanted to do some MG soil tests
I don't see you saying anything about soil. You say "Miracle grow". That would imply nutes, not soil.Stop telling new growers NOT to grow with Miracle grow like it's going to kill the damn plant. Saying it is a "miracle if the plant grows in miracle grow" It is deff not the best or first choice but is very affordable and can grow any plant just fine. I am going to prove it. Give me a little time to get a good cutting or a few seeds.
Oh I was under the impression when someone says MG they think of soil, I am 23 so when I was growing up MG meant soil, they didn't just only have nutes like back in the dayThen you should prolly make that clear in the OP. They rarely are referring to soil when they say MG. They're usually talking about the dry box nute stuff. It's like blue crystals.Oh I was under the impression when someone says MG they think of soil, I am 23 so when I was growing up MG meant soil, they didn't just only have nutes like back in the day
..and make sure they are all identical clones.if your gonna do a test do soil AND nutes for both MG and what ever else. probably fox farm if you want a good example...
yes same genetics plays a big part...and make sure they are all identical clones.
Let's be real though. The FDA, and governments in general aren't exactly the end all, be all in what is safe. As of right now the FDA doesn't even have to decide if GMO's are dangerous to people, which is why there is no labeling in the US. Our government is consistently either lying to us, or misinformed. Let's not forget that a little chemical called "Agent Orange" used to be deemed "safe" by our government.Great point and everything they put on tobacco has been approved for use on tobacco (not that I agree that they are all good things) but they are not allowed to use "systemic acquired resistance" chemicals.
Just some honest criticism, I could have that whole upper part of the plant as one huge cola NOT using mg.if that is 30 days away, i would be seriously disappointed. just sayin.View attachment 2425408View attachment 2425409View attachment 2425410View attachment 2425411
Here are my plants at day 56. Plants are healthy, strong, and simply BAD ASS! They've been growing in MG MC soil since day 1. I used NO ferts during Veg, and carefully implemented ferts during flowering. They are in 5 gallon Smart Pots, and on 2 of the plants, I'm about 30 days from "Chop chop". This is my second grow in MG MC soil, so I know what to expect during the rest of the grow. I keep a detailed journal, and the few adjustments I made this time have paid off, BIG TIME!
Hey, I'm always up for criticism. This is only my 2nd attempt, and I'm sure there are numerous things I could do different, including trying a different soil. But, in my defense, my grow is doing better than last time. If I can keep moving in that direction (doing better than before), I feel like I'm accomplishing my ultimate goal; grow awesome MMJ! One thing I learned this time; light penetration is vital. If you look at the plant on the right, that sucker was over 5 feet tall, and she threw my entire light penetration out of wack. Also, the center plant was much smaller than the other 2, and she was begging for light because of the other 2 girls. So, I raised up the center plant and topped the plant on the right. Once I got my light situation strait, the plants response was just unbelievable! If I would've caught this problem earlier, I may have that cola you're talking about.Just some honest criticism, I could have that whole upper part of the plant as one huge cola NOT using mg.if that is 30 days away, i would be seriously disappointed. just sayin.
I can appreciate that. and your 100% correct, every time should hopefully be better then the last. You really could get huge colas in that mg soil, you just need to learn how to work with nutes a little more and you'll get it. i was just giving you a little shit. lolHey, I'm always up for criticism. good looking girls bro! great node and bud structure.those will turn into big colas.I like how you havnt chopped all the fan leaves as most people I see do.all that does is cut your yields down as the fan leaves are what actually feed the bud sites.good job especially if only your second grow!View attachment 2425408View attachment 2425409View attachment 2425410View attachment 2425411

Dr. G, thanks for the pat on the back!! With 4-5 weeks left in flowering, I feel that the colas will be big and juicy by that time. I'm comparing to last years grow, and I had some pretty nice colas on that grow. I did enough research on Fan Leaves to get a degree, LOL!! They are Solar Panels that send nice things to the Bud Centers, such as sugar(s) and other vital energy(s) that only come from light. If plants are anything like humans, we understand the value of light and how light can mean the difference between life and death. I live in the Northwest and without proper light during the winter, people become depressed and can lose vitamin D, all of which comes from the Sun.good looking girls bro! great node and bud structure.those will turn into big colas.I like how you havnt chopped all the fan leaves as most people I see do.all that does is cut your yields down as the fan leaves are what actually feed the bud sites.good job especially if only your second grow!
Here are a couple of pics from last years grow. The colas on this plant aren't too bad, and this plant is about 10 days from being cut. This year, the plants are doing much better and are more advanced, so I'm crossing my fingers for a better harvest and bigger colas!I can appreciate that. and your 100% correct, every time should hopefully be better then the last.
