To cut or not to cut?

:-(
I saw it ALL too late farmer. That guy killed my plant. My wife’s been cussing me out all night over it. And she’s right. This is my 4th grow, I should know better. I’m just plain sad about it. I guess you learn something every grow, and it sounded so unorthodox I was hesitant. Thanks anyway man

Yeah bro I never heard anyone say uproot it and let it sit out overnight to cool off. Smh
Who does that?

I knew better, shouldn’t have smoked before tending to the plants that night I guess. I liked your advice though man, what’s your take on this guy?
Mac 1, I’m guessing 2-3 weeks into flower. Hungry or just heat stress? Still fighting bugs but they’re a lot less than they were. Thanks in advance man

To me they look overwatered and hungry. That big pot with small plant will drown roots if fully saturated. Probably stays wet for days then gets drenched again never allowing air to get in. I've only grown outdoors once but didnt have to deal with heat stress. I figure if that is an issue just place in slightly shady place and cover dirt with hay, perlite, clay pebbles or anything to keep heat off soil. Hot days u can mist your leaves a few times. Not watering plant just cooling off leaves.

Since u got bugs then misting with the diy solution will be gd for heat also. U also mentioned possible ph problem. That would go along with root lock. Plant refusing to take up nutes cus it cant breath from being overwatered.
What nutes are u giving her? Even tho they give suggested feeding according to plant stage, it should also be noted that plant size and health needs to be considered.

Dont spray your leaves in the heat of the day when the sun is blasting.. theres a real good chance youll end up with a bunch of burns or your leaves... water droplets will act like magnifing lens on your leaves if they sit on them for any length of time.. just keep the pots covered with something to reflect the heat..
The plant looks good it has a nice color to it.. maybe give it a fuzz more food, but not much more.. just to see how it responds.. if the leaves keep fading yellow after that, then it will probably be a ph issue or some other deficency..

Overwatering could definitely be the issue. It got up to 115-118 up here a few weeks back and I wanted to keep her hydrated; It gets around 105 now, but I’ll back off a bit get some pebbles and I’ll update the thread, we’ll see how she does!

I’ve been floating between 6.8-7.4 on the pH. No I never sprayed in this heat for that reason, thanks though. I’m going to pick up some tiger bloom tomorrow and see how she does. I’ll update the thread.

Why is ph so high? 6.5 is sweet spot. Over 7 is alkaline.
H202(3%peroxide) 1 to 4 ratio with water will give your plants instant oxygen on the root zone. Helps with root lock and root rot. It will also help with pest control. Kills all eggs, larvae and soft body insects in soil.
I think u will be ok if u mist it while in the shade but thats your call. U know what kinda heat you dealing with. Dont no what else u can do about pest if u dont control it with some solution. Better stay vigilant on em cus they can ruin crops or stress them out.

I awesome u use ff trio. Make sure u use grow big with the tiger bloom. The (N)itrogen will green her back up.
That stuff is trash imo but it can get the job done. She probably is under fed. Usually when folkes use ff they got burnt tips and yo tips are fine. Sucks when u can't go by the directions on the bottle. U gotta wing it and find a sweet spot.

I’m working it back down from 9.5(!). Changed up my water and got myself alkaline soil. We’re almost back to 6.5. I’ll give that H202 solution a try bro thanks

Hope u didnt go thru flushing and all that. Under $5 bucks u can grab aluminum sulfate from any garden store like lowes. It works fast.

I did do a flush about a month ago, the pH was inconsistent all across the soil. Being I’m still running a bit alkaline, I’m still watering with 5.5, doesn’t seem ti want to stay down. We’re going to lowe’s later today for some alum. sulfate. Too much on the roots if I feed tiger bloom as well? I’d hate to lose TWO plants this late in the game. Still pretty pissed at the guy who recommended uprooting for a night to “cool off”. Asshole. ‍♂️

Everything was looking good until the idea of taking the root ball out for a heat break was introduced to me. That’s a very delicate process and shouldn’t be used lightly. Of course the wife is pissed. THE STEM and too many branches are broken, it’s a total loss. The flowers weren’t making progress in their 3rd week. Heat, bugs, low humidity, black pots, etc. If I learned anything from this thread, it’s not that not every piece of advice given is accurate, and can absolutely be detrimental. Think it out. Does it make sense? This was my 4th grow, you learn something every time. NEVER will I recommend taking the root ball out no matter how hot, out for a break for the evening. Transplants only. Thanks for all of the other help.

What you could have just done was get an old white bedsheet / tshirt and wrapped it around pot instead of yanking it out and now damaging it. Matter of fact you could have even wet the same sheet cover to further cool the pot.

OR …. Place them under garden sun screening ( nursery/ stores ) to temper the direct sun.

Your feed ( @5.5 ph ) is way off. FF products run from 6.3 - 6.7 ph for proper uptake. Tap water alone would cover it without ( ph ) due to medium buffers. Tap also covers the calcium / mag issues also due to having it already. And the nutes have both it too.

Gro Big is for Veg … highly concentrated/ less is more with this nute.

Tiger bloom is the Bloom feed - lower Nitrogen for flowering.

Big Bloom ( name is deceiving) it does not bloom , it is micro nutrients and elements for the microbial activity in soil. Think a “ recharge “ for myco. It is the only “ organic “ of the trio.

I’m still watering with 5.5
Doesn't work like that. Soil is over 7ph so u water at 5ph and hope it meets in the middle. Nah brah. Water/feed at 6.3-6.7ph always. Wait til the soil dries out a lil so u can give it a gd drench of aluminum sulfate. Dont go overboard. Give 2 tbsp per gallon and see how she responds. Add suflate after u ph nutes or water. No need to ph after. It will be in the 3-4 range. Yes u can feed her the ff nutes. But go easy. If u do use the peroxide during a watering u should use the big bloom afterwards for microbes.

Great advice thanks. I’ll start watering with 6.5 and that makes sense why my pH has been fucked every which way. With all it needs it’ll be important to keep an eye out on burning, be conservative with the doses ya know?
