They won't die after 12 hours. Mine had no pumps for 3 days and they looked real bad. After 4-5 days they were back to normal. Its a Hardy, hardy plant. Gotta love it
That's a little more conferting to know that they can handle that kind of stress but I kinda prefer to have a battery backup system of some kind just in case.

Treat them mean, keep them kean. lol But seriously, it aint rocket science, they handle most things. I should know. lol
Hahaha yea. I really wish I could start my other seeds that I got but space is sort of a problem if I start them all lol then it would be light then pot size problems.

I gave my plants a 1/4 teaspoon feeding for every 1L of water. I also gave my DWC plant a 1/4 teaspoon feeding with the 1L of water that I gave it.I found around 10 more 4 inch pots so I could start some other beans that I have but I think I'm going to wait till later. I might put the plants that I have under my 70w MH light and put them under a 45w CFL and 26w 2 foot tube florescent light then start some new beans and put them under my 70w MH light.

youre not worried about overgrowing your lights?
Nop. I have the 70w MH light, 1 45w CFL, 2 13w CFLs and a 2 foot tube florescent light. Also once I sex the plants I won't have all of them when I find the ones that I want. I also have a 70w HPS light that I could do a mix with my 70w MH light.

What made you choose 70w bulbs?
The cost of the bulbs, height problems if I went with higher wattage bulbs, the heat it puts out is a little over a 45w CFL but also I can get a 70w bulbs with in 6 to 9 inches might be able to get closer if I get my cool tube up and running. Also the electric place that I got it at I got around $10 to $20 package discount since I bought the 70w MH bulb , 70w HPS bulb, 70w MH ballast, 70w HPS ballast.

Also I can mis my 70w MH with a 35w HPS and another thing I can just buy lizard light fixtures because they are ceramic and a $20 to $30 fixture can handel up to a 150w bulb but I wanted to make sure I didn't run into heat problems.

Another thing is that I could run 1 5 gallon rubber mate DWC system under a single 70w HPS or MH light.

Sounds like you got everything planned
Yes I do. I made sure I had light that I was gonna use as the main and some backup lights just in case the main one died on me but also the 13w CFLs were a pack of 2. I bought the 70w MH and HPS setup because I wanted to use better lights but also I bought the 70w HPS because I had the money and in case I couldn't afford to buy a HPS light or CFL(s) for flowering when the time came.

Also I pretty much had the spaces that I want to use picked out before I started to grow just didn't expect fast growth so I had to find things around the house that I can use to fix the light height.

----- August 13th, 2011 Update -----

Hey all. Today is going to be a non picture update day. My first clone attempt didn't turn out so it really sucked. I was looking at my plants and I saw that the one that I took my first clone off of has a ring at the branch site so I'm curious as to if its a male or female now but I think it might be a male but hoping that its a female.

I started to germinate 3 BC Mango seeds in a bowl of water.

I decided to try to take my 2nd clone but I took it off of a stretched plant to try again but also might find out if its stretched because where it was before or if its in its DNA.

What happened with the clone that went wrong? And not quite sure what you mean by a ring at the branch? Did you change anything with the second clone?

I think that the clone house wasn't getting warm enough so the humidity level wasn't where it should be.

Well where the new growth comes out to start a new branch there's a ring at the location so pretty much the new branch has a rig at the base of it.

I'm going to try doing 24/0 lighting instead of 18/6. When I get paid I might pick up a heating mat to for it.

Clones dont need alot of light to root, best off with a single low wattage bulb, light schedule is not as important, although I have noticed that some dark time is beneficial to speeding up the rooting process. Did you use any rooting hormone? Cut the fan leaves? Some strains prefer to root via a certain method, and wont root any other way. Some strains are easier to root than others, and some will not root, or almost impossible.

I'm only giving them a 13w CFL. It never got any light from the 70w MH

It was on 18/6 and it didn't seem like it was liking that dark time.

Did you use any rooting hormone?
Yes. I have 3 different brands of rooting hormone. I used Rootech since alot of people say it works and has had good results.

Cut the fan leaves?
Where I took the clone there was not very big fan leafs. I pretty much only had the new growth part because I took the fan leafs off since the new growth was pretty much almost new leafs that would have been fully opened up by that time.

All I know is that Ice strains love nitrogen and this strain seems to really love it. I think the humidity wasn't high enough because the dome was dry to much and I was misting the dome 3 times a day. I have the 13w CFL going 24/0 and the humidity level is at 93%. I might also had a problem because when I took it it had a water hole right in the middle that you can see easily and it was the very top of the plant that I took it from.

Maybe mine would clone easier in DWC or Aero. Maybe it needs some kind of nutes besides rooting hormone to help it root.

People think they need to mist their clones often, but it is a misconception, if you are contiually misting leaves with water the clone makes no attempt to form roots because it is getting it's source of water from the misting.

No I only mist the leafs once at 4am and not any more till the next day. I was looking at my humid and temp reader and under 12 hours the humidity goes from 93% all the way down to 63%. I saw my clone was wilting yesterday and I misted it and this morning it was still wilted so I changed the 13w CFL out for my 3.5w LED light and it seems that the clone perked up while I wasn't home.

Hey all. today is gonna be a no pic update day. Sorry for all that want to see a pic update. Today I took the plants out of their pots and add about 2 to 3 inches of soil to the bottom of the pot and put the plants back into them. I should get at least 1 week to maybe 1 month of veg time. I also leafed the plants of their bottom leafs.

The 2nd clone that I took well the stem went to mush on it. I checked the how to on the soil cloning and I found that every thing that I did was to what they said. The leafs were fine and green. I took the 2nd clone and cut off the mush stuff and the mush stuff stopped at the part where I saw a water uptake hole in the middle of the stem so I also took the soil out that they stem was touching and planted it back in. If the 2nd clone lives then I will know that the water uptake hole that I saw was the first problem that I had so I will find out.

If things don't work out for that clone I will try a water in the cup method and see if that works or not.
