Yup , absolutey beautiful, their Friday night in San Francisco album is outstanding , i dont think its ever been out of rotation in my listening room , ive got like 25 albums that never get rotated out of the pile & thats one of em , Return to Forevers Romantic Warrior never gets taken out either , best jazz album ever IMO aside from Miles Davis Bitches Brew .
I dont know if your familiar with Warren Cucurillo or not but he's most widely known for being in the band Duran Duran & he's got some serious chops , he also played with Frank Zappa , he does a great job at Zappas Translvania Boogie .

I knew that about Tony , ive got a video somewhere where he shows the home made prosthetic finger tips he uses & explains why he used a zero fret to get his signature sound.
Its pretty amazing he's so good considering he has plastic fingers ,i read somewhere that he uses laqured finger boards & filed down frets to help him play , the cards sure as fuck were stacked against him .
I remember an old interview with him in Guitar Magazine where he said he should have just learned to play lefty after that accident. But, he was young and thought he was stuck playing right handed forever.

Quite possibly the coolest guitar on earth .
Jimi Hendrix owned ,played it , smashed it & set it on fire ,Frank Zappa was given the guitar & rebuilt it, then played it & recorded Zoot Alures with it ,.Steve Via , Warren Cucurillo, Adrian Belew , Ray White , Johnny Guitar Watson all played it now Dweezil Zappa owns & plays it .
If you guys had the chance to play 2 pieces of music on this what would your choices be ?

Remember waiting impatiently on the new issue of the Magazine to come out ? Man they kicked Rolling Stone's ass with their in depth interviews of players , i wish i woulda known they'd become collectables depending on who was on the cover , it was my bathroom reading material along with auto swapper & hustler .
Yeah, it was a great rag. I had no idea they had any value today. I wonder if I still have some in storage somewhere.. I never throw out sheet music, and they always had a good 3 song transcriptions per issue.
