I personally like to loosely trim and hang branches. I often don’t go beyond a loose trim. The worst thing you can do is spend all that time growing flowers, just to end up trimming them too close imo.
Okay so cut off branches, trim leaves and hang until branches snap. Got it.
Still a bit uncertain about the RH, is this on the room?
Cheers, sorry to ask so many questions, I can get a bit overwhelmed when researching and I have a lot on my plate just now. I am working on getting over this.

No worries. You should try to dry your herb in a dark place with air circulation. You can place your hydrometer in the room close to the drying plant material. Use paper bags for nugs that fall off the branch. You don’t really need the hydrometer if you’re testing the branches by snapping, but you might find it helpful.
Brilliant mate, so helpful. Really appreciate it. The best and only practical place to hang it would be my garage, any thoughts on this?

That’s totally fine, just make sure you have a fan going (not directly on the materials) so the air won’t become stagnant. You probably don’t need the hydrometer if the stem snaps when you bend it

looks female. Better than nothing.
Of you still have your Male's then can still be worth making a bit of oil if they have matured enough.
I trim them up put everything in an Agee jar with oil, grapeseed, olive, cooking oil...doesn't make much difference.
Put the jar in a pot of water so most of the jar is covered and simmer for a few hours.
Use the same oil for other plants. builds potency in the oil.
Done this a few times with happy results.
I'm a Jafa too so a bit of home grown experience.
Good luck with the girly plant, not far from harvest for us.

Cool bro, I'm a temporary jafa myself, been here a year or so now I love it, just not sure how long I'm staying.
Thanks for the knowledge on making oil, unfortunately we ditched the males way back but I'll bare it in mind for the future.
So Easter you say sounds about right by the advice I've been given, nice one, great to get reassurance. Not long now

I am about 2 weeks from harvesting and I am now preparing for the drying process.
Is there any signs to look out for to prevent leaving it too long or is it purely season based?
What does ripening look like? How can I tell?
Do you think she will fill out much more before Easter?

Ripening is just the finishing stage, mostly where the flowers put on excess weight and stink more than you thought possible. And yes, you’re going to see a lot of bulk between now and Easter
Hey guys, I know this might be a tricky one to answer for indoor growers or people outside New Zealand but I'm open to any advice still.
If kiwi growers see this please share your knowledge as its my first grow.
I've been given some sound advice to harvest in about a week or so, easter weekend.
However the forecast here is overcast and rain for the coming week.
Will my flowers still develop much with no direct sun light?
We've had sun for a week up to now and here are some progress pics of my top bud.
Could it be worth cutting down now or should I keep waiting. I have no idea on how to tell visually yet, guess that will come with more experience and guidance from you awesome lot.

Cut them down. If it’ll be raining the entire week your buds are going to rot. Your flowers look ripe and ready for the picking!
Thanks bro, I made that call and very pleased I did now. Hanging in perfect conditions as we speak. Its been a mad couple of days getting it all done properly.
I've learnt fo much from you and everyone on here, I'm so grateful and I look forward to sharing my final product.
I actually can't sleep because I'm so into it right now.
Luckily I have some medicine that can help with this.

Hi ya, I have been drying now for three days using the set up in the pics.
My temperature has been giving up and down with the changing weather but I've done my best to keep on top of it regularly everyday bringing it back to as close to 70f and 60%RH every few hours of checking.. The highest temp it gotten to is 78f and the lowest 67f, the humidity has been pretty consistent between 55% & 63%.
I'm pleased with the look and smell. The buds are of various sizes obviously and some feel dryer than others but all seem to be fairly crisp to touch.
I'm aware 6 days is a good guideline before curing in jars. However with the high temps I've unfortunately not been able to regulate consistently, I'm unsure whether to start curing the dryer buds now?
Also I'm unsure how to monitor the humidity in the jars as my meter will not fit in the jar and I'm struggling to find one that does in time.
What are early warning signs of bud rot btw? If it begins to show what's the best action to take?
And I know its too late now but the pics you see of the buds are how I trimmed them wet and hung. Did I over trim?
Finally how does it all look to you experts?

You trimmed perfectly imo, great work! If the buds are feeling crunchy to the touch, I’d cut them off the branches and place them into paper bags. I would leave them in the bags about 24 hours, then test the smoke. If it busts up and smokes clean, get the flower into jars. Open a few hours later. If the buds seem spongy after being in the jars, leave the jars open until the buds are crunchy again. I think you can skip the curing process and just dry properly and smoke, but it’s just my opinion. I feel curing takes a lot of time, flowers seem to lose potency and terps also seem to decrease after curing. Just my opinion! You’ve grown a nice looking batch, be proud, enjoy the smoke!

I always trim the big stuff wet then do some fine trimming when it dries. I think you have do fine with the trimming. Some people would have cut the buds from the stalk before placing in jars. There are humidity meters you can get on Amazon at about 5 for 20 $ or so. I ordered 2 which brought the price to free delivery range. See them here:
