Toronto autumn 2021 - how are your plants doing?

I was under the impression 12*C was the limit for healthy roots overnight?
i've been reading many posts and talking to several rollitup-ians, and they say you can even go down to just above Frost temps without any problems. We've even gone down to 7C one night just this last week passed, and my one plant (8 died in spring, and culled the one male) is doing just fabulous. the only thing that keeps pissing me off is the rain, as i see that the trichomes are impacted. MUST PROTECT THE TRICHOMES!!!

Last week was horrible had to protect my girls by any means
I know, damn F'n rain. I was so severarly impacted when we had that hail storm and severer downpour about 3 weeks back (just about all the trichomes washed off, and my poor lady had to start all over again ), that this time I just threw whatever i had laying around in an attempt to cover her up. two days later i removed the plywood and chairs and whatnot, and lord, sweet sugar! :weed:

i've also burried my plant in a big pile of fresh leaf compost to protect the roots overnight. that should keep things warmer and more stable for the next week or so. I'm about no more than 2 weeks away from harvest.

Iv passed the blind coke Pepsi test. I even called out Vanilla Coke in the mix. As well cherry vanilla.

I’ll take my hundred bucks times my 10-1 odds.

Took my first plant down this morning (The Hammer) from the great outdoors. Gonna give them a good bath of h2o2 and water to help rid the wpm on my buds. So I took a weigh of them already, buds off the limbs, all trimmed up and got 746g wet for my Mango Sapphire. Gonna try freeze drying it tonight on a lower tray heat drying setting and will take a bit longer to dry, but will hopefully have a smoke report to share with everyone tomorrow. Might be able to take down maybe another 1 or 2 plants this coming week

10 feet tall it just to keep dew off colas also heavy rain fall off dense cola
That's what i thought, and which had to be to accommodate full size plants, but i wasn't sure how tall the plant's were in the pics, so I didn't have a reference.

. Nice work. Not easy to do, eh?
How's the stability, especially when it comes to holding the heavy water in the rain?

It has a slope to it allow for rain to run off .it manage to hold up during all the rainfall we had last week .I think snow would be a problem.

It wasn't too bad since I have an extensive construction background was not hard at all . Trimming on the hand that's hard

I'm likely going to try planting a couple in Pots next year (so i can locate them to a sunnier location, as well as bring them into the garage when severe storms hit - i had a severe downpour with hail and tornado-gust winds about two weeks ago, and it just about washed off all the trichomes >:(>:(>:(), and to the main point of this post, I will be using "organic fertilizers exclusively" - fish hydrolusates. I like using Wegmans Liquid Gold (bat guano: 6,6,6), all in a good mix of black earth and leaf compost.

Leaf compost both stabilizes and balances PH levels below 7, which is ideal, so you don't have to worry or F#$%^ with your PH levels for the life of the plant. LC also contains micro nutrients and beneficial root fungus, as well as retains excellent moisture levels without becoming water logged.

I do have an advantage in that i have an elaborate composting system for all my garden plants, and drive around and appropriate about 190+ bags of mainly Maple Tree leaves every late October ;), and then that composts down to about 1 bin of pure black gold. The secret of composting is to turn the pile(s) over every 3-4 weeks to accelerate the process, otherwise it will take 2-3 years to become usable if you just leave the pile untouched. You DO NOT need a big system like mine. You can build a much smaller one just for your cannabis plants. lots of DIY solutions on YouTube.

PS if you would like some instructions on how to build and maintain a compost system I would be glad to help out.

One of many nights

I used to do the same thing years ago , then then the city I was doing it in stopped me. They couldn't give me a reason for it, but it probably had something to do with city workers being union. I was told. So they pick up the leaves and took them to a landfill. I use rained on alfalfa hay. You're so right about turning. I've been doing this since the 70s. It took me awhile to buy a shredder, too.

really? what total F'n pricks! What region are you in? so i know not to move there.

i go out late at night and dress up in dark clothing and wear a hat and put on a mask so that I'm inconspicuous and no one notices me.

awesome. where you getting that from? you live on or by a farm?

hey, you're as old as i am, then. <two thumbs up>
debating on getting one myself. what model did you buy?

i don't have a rear-bag mower, so i just dump the leaves in the bins. but i saw my neighbor use the suck and bag option one day on his leaf blower (what a puss, i said to myself), and then i grabbed some bags directly across the street where that neighbor did the same thing, and the leaves inside the bag were perfectly shredded. so i tried it with my blower, and now I'm a puss too.
