For these plants just going into Flowering stage. They sure have a Musk smell to them. Especially when you brush against them. CALI!! Or KAYA!!!! How strong do these smell in full out flowering MODE??? Sure am glad I have an Air Scrubber in the budget for this grow.:mrgreen:

Ok a few new pictures. I just treated my 6"X6" cubes. But before I treated them i cut them out so the 4"X4" would fit inside of them.
I should have taken pictures of the roots. They were all ovewr the sides of the 4"X4" cubes,and I have found that these smaller cubes get gooey and to dense with roots, by the end of flowering, even when I have room for them to grow into the res tank or the Coco Matt like I am now.

Hmmmm, well this is what I was afraid of. My plants were out into flowering light cycle at 3 weeks old. a full week sonner then I have ever done it. Usually I see signs of sex within 4-5 days. But I am at day 7 now, and there is no sign of sex as of yet. They have hit a big growth spert, and even though that 1,000 watt light was close they are growing up, up, and away. I have tied the taller stalks over with strings and a little weight. All in all the crop is looking good. I am hopeing they show sex soon.

Come on you old time growers. Step up and give some suggestions. I appreciate the intellegent advice, But if someone was to.. lets say.. Hmm,, like top my plants and take clones now to keep them short. I might not listen to well.

This is normal to take longer to show flowering when you start sooner I would think. So in reallity, you do not get to harvest sooner, if you flower sooner, at least when growing with seeds. My guess, any votes?

I certainly have a similar experience with mine....the ones that went a week longer in vegee will finish as least a week sooner....so like a full two week difference in total.....odd...but true.

Hmmm. something to think about Tahoe.

I am used to them showing sex, then hitting a growth spert. But these plants have hit a growth spert already, I am wondering if the will show sex and then hit another growth spert. if so I could be in trouble. I am already trying to figure out how to stick my 400 watt HPS in there also. But I really do not want to. thew ballast is self contained, and it is not vented for cooling.

I bet these plants show sex on about day 11. That is the 4 days to show sex, plus the week early I changed them to flower. Still the end harvest day would be the same if true. Just I would save elect. because I have shoprtened down my time with lights on.

sorry i was not done:)............... thats the perfect way to describe the smell i think musky, but i think its great cause it almost doesnt smell like weed? So im choppin my lady today just gotta double check with the scope again ill take pics!!!

Plants look good but i would not chop at this stage of budding the plants will be stressed? People do it diffrent but i like to veg a bit after topping so if they have started budding i would just let them go. I like to play around with bending and wiring them down like the one i call mother in my journal.

There is no way I would top a plant while if is in flowering stage. I am just bending and tieing them.. Going to give them some S&M Luvin.

Well these plants are almost 4 weeks old now. They have been in flowering stage for almost about a week now. Look close for the blueish/grey/silver outline on the leafs.

They are really hitting a growth spurt already. I did everything i could to keep them short. So now I think I am going to string a net across them at about 28" up from the medium.

OK. My first female has shown her ripe spot. It was different this time though. This time the two hairs cam directly out of the corner of the next shoot, and nothing else. Just the hairs. But where the shoots are, there are large balls. to help hold up the weight of the buds. This is wht I have always though. If the strain has large round Knoduals, where the off shoots are, then they are there for the large MASS that is to come.

Butt hell, I have no idea. I have never grown a Sativa before. Kind of exciteing really. The leafs for the first 2-4 weeks were very fat and short. Now they are turning long and skinny. They are starting to show the sativa trait. I was amazed when I saw this.. pretty cool really.

very nice ldb the plants are lookin great!!! I like the idea of trying a sort of scrog but if you are going to do that now is the time. You want them training asap but its also hard to get the males out once they start sexing

DAM LOWES AND HOME DEPOT... I was going to set up my netting tomorrow night. But when I checked on them today. the little girls had grown a huge amount. I am talking more then what is believable. So I told myself, heck with tomorrow, I need to put this net out tonight. Dam Lowes and his bastard brother carries nothing close to what will work. I hate those two stores, I hope they go bankrupt. This is the same place, that when I asked where the Squirle cage fans were at, I was told I would need to go to a pet supply store for one of those. When I said ... "You are kidding,,, right???" She said.. NO.. I am not,, we do not sell pets, or pet supplies... DOH!!!!!!!!

All I want is like a 3"X3" nylon netting. is that to much to ask for?

Hey Bits I took a quick look through your thread as I've been curious about this TW (supposed) offering from Greenhouse...
OK here's my 2 cents and it's only my opinion based on my experience with breeding with the Arcata cut in the past 4 years.

The specimens you have look nothing like any F1's or S1's I've made,the growth is far too close to an Afghani and the traits are showing strong indica
leanings as I was thinking it would.

I hope you don't take this the wrong way as it's only my opinion of Greenhouses's quick way to again capitalize on American hype and thus
the excitement about Cheese and TW... It's a marketing gimmick.

You're doing a fine job as far as the grwo is concerned,congrats.

I'll post a pic of a current TW F1 I have, 2 gals they almost always grow with this pheno type,and I've yet to ever see anything like yours outta near 100 gals grown....If anything you may get some more sativa then these.

There's really no mistaked her or her offspring once you've had the real cut.

Do you see a difference? TW is very very sativa like 85% or more.

I do understand how these plants have looked like an idica during the veg state. But not that they are hitting flowering stage they are turning to a sativa state. At first the leafs were fat and thin. Now they are growing long and thin. Also,, are you leafs not out lined by a silver color? My new growth is also out lined by this color. You say you have F1's.. well Green house got TW clones. now the only way they could get seeds was to cross breed it,, then one they got seeds, to breed it with TW over and over. but even then, it has another trait in it.

I only say this out of hope. But to tell you the truth, I do not care, just as long as I get some good smoke out of them. I do not care about the name on the label, I care about what is in the pipe.

But It would be nice to be able to tell people what they are hitting on.

thats the real deal humboldt strain...like ive been trying to say all along...i have argued with several people that told me i was nuts for thinking I was getting tw back in the day from humboldt...well I know my stuff and this just confirms it....
