I live in cabo. I have friends who visit all the time and bring ounces with them. They dont care. I hope to fix the problem about not having good weed in cabo. I am going to open a dispensary that caters to ex-patriot americans or vacationing patients.

I only read the first and last page of this thread, but Ive been to mexico tons of times on surf trips. Ive flown, driven, and bussed it through mexico down to michoacan.

But yeah, its easy to bring some with you. I flew into Guadalajara which is a super huge and busy airport and there wasnt a dog in sight.

Recently in mexico though, small amounts of drugs (like less than 3grams) has been decriminalized. BUT, there are a ton of corrupt cops and federales.

When you are in mexico and traveling around. You can always buy more weed where you are going (especially in tourist citys or remote surf camps).

We decided one day to hit up a point break in Guerrero after staying 2 weeks in Michoacan. Well, we had some dank and well, buds suck in Guerrero, so we took about a quarter. Stuffed it in my shorts under my nuts. Of course leaving michoacan we had to go through a checkpoint. I literally stood next to a Federale, had a conversation with him for about 10 minutes while his buddies searched our truck (loosely) for "guns" all while I had weed under my nuts.

The thing is, mexican cops have this "machoness" to them that they wont feel you up during a search. I also have a friend that lives in Colima (white guy from texas) and he drives into and out of michoacan all the time with weed. His bigass red truck sticks out like a sore thumb too. But if you're cool, speak some spanish its all good cause they're bored as hell standing around with machine guns. LOL Sorry for the long read

The only place in Mexico that I've been is Cabo, and it's incredibly easy to score there. The guy on the beach selling the cheap glass pipes is more than happy to hook you up with something to smoke in them.

why not let us grow our own

sorry greensister couldnt resist lol licences would stop the large scale drug dealing (cannabis only) an stop people fukin with the weed but it would also stop small growers sellin to make a bit of extra cash so its all down to whether you grow to smoke or if you wana make some £££ personally im into both but still think it should be legal for those people who use it as a medicine cos it gives people there lives back an if we all started growing it an planting clones every where it would get to the point where there was just too much for the police to deal with and they just wouldnt have the manpower to do anything about it

Yea, its all good. I must counterpoint that legalization does not mean the product is worthless. There is a flea market in my area and since i grow a bunch of stuff, i paid the $150 fee and brought down a few flats of seedlings and sold all of them for $1.50 each. I paid maybe $15 for all the seeds and what not and walked away with $320 for perfectly legal plants.
I also sell basil and cilantro to a couple local restaurants. They appreciate the organic nature of my herbs and every now and again, they send me home with a meal as well as some cash. I know im not giong to get rich, but what is rich? When i was in college all i wanted was to be able to go to a grocery store and not worry if i had enough money to pay the bill. To me, that was rich.
As far as overgrowing the government. I hear ya. Thats why i encourage everyone i can to save thier bagseed and plant it on public land. Not for harvest, but for the cause.

You most likely will be fine getting INTO Mexico using your method. Personally, I wouldn't attempt it and I wouldn't ask anyone in Mexico for it either. I had some friends that were approached by a guy trying to sell smoke in Cancun. They said okay and followed the guy. Next thing you know the guy claimed to be a cop and robbed them. Most likely he was just a thug and not a cop. Oh and positively DO NOT try to bring any back to the states with you. They are way smarter and will be more apt to scrutinize you!!!! If you are just traveling within the states and not dealing with customs your method is over kill. You can just put the smoke in your under armor drawers and vaccum seal it. Just make sure you do not have anything on that will make you beep in the metal detectors.

I don't know. Shouldn't be no laws against it anyway. When Yanks come up to party in Niagara falls, Canada, they buy the ganga here. Unless you're trying to impress someone there is no real need to take such risks. My uncle got busted at a boarder once and to be set free he had to give names. One of the names he gave was mine. I got lucky at Gatwick airport. I got strip searched twice and both times they saw the ridiculous amounts of pipes, lighters tobacco and herb mixes I bought from the off-license (they will serve ANYONE in Berlin!)... didn't even check it properly. I had an eighth in my Golden Virginia tin. Luckily in Berlin at least, no one cares if you spark up in the middle of the street. Don't know about Mexico though... wouldn't that be a place to buy rather than bring? (even though some of it is pretty cruddy)
