Tree Like Potential?

scuse me : direct sun.
I'll take them to Earl Scheib and get a paint job. Would a $5 can of white rustoleum make them cooler. It might. :-?

I understand the science behind it (black attracts heat and lighter colors don't). But I've felt my soil and it's not hot. My guess is this. I'm able to add water more often due to highly efficient and steady drainage, therefore I get to put new cooler water (with nutes) into my soil more often then a grower with similar conditions that has a lighter colored pot with inferior drainage.

Just a hunch here;

If you retain water with a perfectly white pot you are retaining hotter water than a darker pot that is set up to constantly flush and receive new fresh water more frequently.

I'm trying to achieve max potential with what I have. I have black pots. My biggest concern is that I want bigger pots cause these bitches are growing fast. I think I'm gonna go for the Wonder Woman pot where no one can see anything except her on the inside (sexy) :hump:..

But catwoman was way hotter.

For shits and giggles I will do a temp test and report back.

I pulled up a branch to show you what I'm talking about. See that thick branch in the middle of the pic...that's not the main stalk that's just a branch. It has like a dozen different shoots.

She hasn't formed any new but sites in a while so I hope she is back to full time veg. She has little nugs everywhere though.

No those little things aren't ball sacs either :)

in my opinion the plant looks good, but way to leafy and bushy. I would cut most of the leaves off or at least in half. stressing is another good way to let some light in. Light is key for bud growth. the inside of your plant needs sunlight hitting each possible bud. If you are wanting to grow trees you've gotta get out of those mediums and put them in the ground.. and the earlier the better. try placing some seeds in the ground, without germinating, around january... go back around march and check it out.. the plants will be bigger than any others that you put out all year, and frost never bothers them when theyve not been transplanted and actually came up in the cold on their own. grow them in decomposed horse shit, miracle grow every week, ammonia nitrate at knee high, top it every chance you can and you will have trees. 8-13ft tall females with half to a whole pound on each... no kidding!! and always let the frost hit 'em once.... your weight will increase dramatically!!!!

Thanks for your concern bro but I couldn't disagree more. It's ok...I'm comfortable knowing that I've totally fucked this entire grow up. :-|

If you go back and read the entire thread you will see that the density was something that turned into a problem and I addressed it. To be honest. If it didn't turn into popcorn and get all nasty on me I would let mother nature do its job. As of a few days a go I stepped in and "wiped her ass." Just go back a few pages bro.

All is well. I'm sure come September no one will be talking about lack of sunlight. Frost in SoCal in the summer/fall???

I'll make it easy on you...here is a link to the discussion of cleaning her up that is just a few pages back. It will save you a few clicks.

As far as putting her in the ground...I chose not to for many reasons. One is that I chose not to and the other is I have gofers (not Golfers like Tiger Woods) that will eat small children and think chicken wire is dental floss. I'm sure you have an answer to that too but there is nothing wrong with growing Pot in a Pot.

I don't have a ton of land but in San Diego County an acre is a fucking butload. Believe me, we grow a lot of shit here on top of herb.

The only thing I put in the ground are dead gofers, golfers and compost

Yeah,

Could be I'm putting too much emphasis on this.

ANyway, you're right about the pot sizes bro. We have up to 20 galloners and they still ain't big enough!

ALso, if the pot is bigger, then I think the roots stay cooler because there's so much dirt.

You might want to transplant.

Anyway, I'm watchin' your plants kill it!

Loookin forward to the progress!!

Not much to update. She hasn't grown too much over the last week. The only thing I can think of is that she has been readjusting to her haircut that she got on 7/15.

Does she look different to you guys? Maybe she's just perked up a bit...

Looking back, here she is on 7/15. Maybe a little saggy?

One more shot from 7/15...eh, she doesn't look to bad really.

Here she is today 7/21. I've taken some extra photos from different angels in the hope that the camera can show what I see. I think I need a better camera. The good news is her leaves are looking a lot better. Sure I would love 7 or 9 fans. But I guess I'll take 5.

The shadows are killing this shot. When the sun moves I think I'll redo this shot...

These shots are strictly experimental. I guess all my shots are really. My 6 year old neighbor takes better photos then me

that plant is so bushy! what kind of yeild are you expecting?
I have no clue about yield. She doesn't really have tops. She has shoots I guess you could say. I'm anticipating a cola on each one.

Like I said in one of my first posts "for all I know this could be a bitchen orange tree."

I know that theyre not gonna germinate in february.. trust me, you can put seeds in the ground in November even, and i guarantee you they'll come up as soon as the earth temp gets right.. and the plant will come up when its ready.. not when we growers decide its time for them to be planted. I live in the hills of Tn, way to cold to grow until the first of april. But somehow it works.. I took an old man's advice and planted 10 seeds Feb, 1. I didnt go back until mid june and they were already 7-10 ft tall....blew my mind! 9 of them came up. I have 85 others out.... none of them can even compare with the plants that i let come up naturally. the old man was right. just trying to pass some 40 years of experience down. he showed me the ropes ten years ago.. but i never believed seeds would come up if you plant them in winter... anyone ever sew grass seed in the snow???? comes up everytime doesnt it!

wasnt trying to sound like i know everything... just trying to give some help to ya from what I've learned in the past years... i'm sure California is extremely different from growing in east tn. around here there are thousands of endless untraveled acres... but also a guerilla grower in every other car that you meet.... not many jobs around here, so we all grow good bud and ship it up north to the yankees, then the mexicans ship their shitty compressed to us! lol

If you plant money it'll grow a money tree too, right.

Anyway Dubs nice grow. Some of mine look just like that. I put them out just a little to early this year. It was so warm in late april I thought it would be alright.

Yeah, my first pic in this thread is right after the transplant on 4/26. A few weeks early caused me a little loss in growth I think. Lesson learned. Next time I'll veg indoors till she's big and strong and then put her out in mid May. It's not so much the temp but the light cycle.

"thats looking good and bushy.. indica dominate it looks like. how many gallons is your planter? "

I believe she's in a 10 gal pot. I drilled out an extra dozen or so holes to aid in the drainage.

Some say Indica dom cause the lower fan leaves are wider. But all the newest growth that is maybe a month old or so looks like a Sativa dom of some type. I don't know.:neutral:

If you look at the photos closely you will see the older single and double bladed fan leaves. Maybe i stressed her from the early flower I think. Now that she is full Veg again and being fed a ton of nutrients all the single blades are dying off and only the 5’s and 6’s are surviving. I think mother nature is dumping the inefficient sun absorbers. Every day I pick off a few dozen totally yellow and dead leaves that were otherwise fine before. Nature, in one day, every day is sucking the life out of a few dozen single leaves to put into the now stronger more efficient 5+ bladed leaves. It’s cool to watch man.

Well, at least my guess is that's why they're dying off.

I had similiar issues. I also a recent hail storm strip tons of plant off. Dried up and looked just like your pic before you wiped its ass. yeah may 14th is MY DAY. This year because I thought I could get away with it i put the first 10 out too early due to an early heat wave. 8 out of 10 completly came out of flower to veg especially after I had liquid fed, seemed to jump start them. The other 2 have buds that look funky that you could probably smoke right now. i'll wait to see what happens. Never put them out this early before so I never had this problem.

As long as those buds don't look all shitty I say let it roll bro. Who knows, maybe they will mature slowly. You'll harvest your primary dank and then leave that premature stuff on and harvest later.

But it could happen in the exact opposite way too :hump: I'm learning to let the plant tell me whats up.

Sometimes when I get sick and tired of all the crap I deal with at the office, I come home realizing I've got a few plants that need to fully examined, fed, some clones that need to be cared for...it can wear down a man.

But then I think about all the wonderful food and recipes my mind comes up with when I'm stoned. This is my last batch of ribs. Sure I know, everyone does this that or the other to come up with ribs that fall off the bone.

Pork ribs falling off the bone is expected. It's everything else that is to be pursued (flavor, texture etc). These aren't the best ribs in the world. I'm posting them here to inspire all of you guys to grow, smoke and enjoy one of the best parts of smoking...the munchies. Doesn't everything taste better when the muchies come calling?

I go for a crispy and crunchy outer layer. Contrasted by the soft meat. Mmmmm...these are not spare ribs either. These are pork back ribs.

Maybe you like this rack better.
