You Could be onto something there.
It has been super hot and dry lately so I water every day.
Maybe all the water is causing the problem.

One problem i get with fst stalks is they rupture like in the

Too much water/ferts and fast growth, next step is rot in the main stem, if you're in a cool wet state like me. I prememptively paint a sulphur paste onto the cracks and injured spots to keep the stem mold out as that's exactly the vulnerable spots that get attacked first.
