Well I decided to try and even out her canopy, so I took some ties and pulled the stems into the open areas. I believe it’s called super cropping? I did not pinch the stems, I just pulled them over and tied them to other branches. Hopefully it’s not to late and it works or at least makes a noticeable difference in the end. You have to reference the pictures above to see the difference.

The buzz on the Schwaz technique going around these days is at least in part do to The guys at Three a Light...( 3 lbs per 1000w)

They recommend full defoliation on last day of veg/ first day of flower then a 2nd time on day 21 of flower.

Black Dog LED has some documented grows using their technique so you can check out their youtube. Interesting stuff for sure!

See towards the end of this video...

Link for page pics of their book here too.

Supercropping is when you pinch the branch/stem really hard until it crushes and that part of the plant falls over. It's very intrusive, you're actually damaging the plant quite significantly. Sometimes the stem that's being crushed even breaks completely on one side. The part of the branch/stem that you've supercropped will heal with a big fat joint around the broken area, very much like how a human body creates new bone material around a break. It adds significant strength, and new pathways for the nutrient solution to travel.

Pulling the stems a bit and tying them back is a Low-Stress Training (LST) technique. Supercropping is damaging, and is considered High-Stress Training (HST).

Personally, I supercrop at least one plant almost every flower run for one reason or another. I've never lost a plant, or even a single part of a plant due to supercropping, including the couple of times I've had to tape up the broken joints.

Well I guess I did a combination of the two (LST/HST) because a did bend a couple branches instead of tying down. I also started to introduce molasses to the soil. Hopefully it will fatten up my buds over the next couple of weeks. I’ve been trying to leave her alone, but she’s irresistible!!!!! When I started to lay her down I removed a couple of the small sites down towards the base of the stem, and let me tell ya she’s on FIRE!

It is, I’ve just been putting a very minuscule amount in the water bulb. I put a small dab on the end and run the water over it to blend it. I will slowly increase the amount I add over the next couple weeks.

Tip with the molasses if you get your water a little warm it dissolves so much easier
I always try to use warm water with every watering from the beginning. I think about what happens to us when we jump into a pool, or have cold water thrown on us. Believe it or not I think of her as my baby and she needs her daddy to make sure she has everything she needs! I’ve got some egg shells soaking now, I don’t know exactly what it does but I used to watch my momma water her indoor plants with it and they were always happy and healthy! But like everything I will introduce small amounts and watch her reaction. There are a couple more things I’ve been researching to help raise the thc levels, and as long as she stays healthy I might do a little more experimenting right around the last week before the harvest. (i.e. splitting the stem)

Don’t like posting pics on other peeps threads but thought it was relevant pic of my mother plant after super cropping had to use pliers as stem was to thick sounds harsh but no choice height issue

So I got my new Mars Hydro TS600 in the mail thanks (@MarsHydrofactory) and after opening it and checking it out I have decided to try and finish my girl with it! So I switched the lights last night right before lights out, now she will wake up to something a little different. I was going to wait to use this light with a new grow, but I just couldn’t wait! Blurple light is old new light is not blurple!

I keep researching the “count” and after doing so I have decided to go with the idea that you start your flowering time when the bud sites pop their little Afros. I flipped the lights on the 14th of January, and approximately 10 days later she started showing. This would put her at week 6 +4 days. To me this adds up with the size of the plant, and it kind of takes the “damn why aren’t mine that big” mindset away. Beings this is only my second grow, I am not sure if all of the little leaves are a product of the schwazzing or not. I thought there would be fewer leaves and more BUD! But hey she’s not done yet. These pictures are from Sunday...

So in the end was it worth doing? It looks like you stunted the plant maybe?

I have done 6 plants a few days ago, but as they each have their own area like your plant had, I left some leaves on the lower parts of the plant like this... A ring of leaves around the outside. I think that schwazzing business maybe a bit heavy. Possibly in coco or hydro it would work better because of the speed of growth. I'm in coco and after 36 hours the plants look really good. So glad I left those lower leaves on. I'm sure that the schwazzing dude that sells that book probably just takes off that much growth as they are growing plants next to eachother.

I read as much as I could on it beforehand, but overall I feel that rather than having an explosion of bud growth, I got a lot of little leaves. (If you zoom in you can see) I thought the buds would swell up and get fatter. I’m not complaining, I got a little over a quarter pound from my second grow. I would have liked to have two so I could have seen if there was any differences.
