Trim tips?

im not involved in your guyses argumaent lol, im just throwin in my 2 cents (which i believe to be right) but ya your right, non of the mentiond trimmings will improve bud potency, outside of genetic altercations and breeding, theres no way to get more potency out of a strain than its genetically coded. you can fuck it up and lower em from where the plant would be, but not push it past 100%.

popcorn buds can form even on a short plant as it has to do with direct light on the bud. you can have a plant of perfect dense nugs, but one nug hidden under a few fan leaves will still be light and popcorn like, regardless of growing perfection. the triming will avoid these popcorn buds (because you cut them off) and send all the energy they were using to the main colas wich will make your main colas larger and denser than if you had not trimmed the lower buds, but once again will not affect potency of the bud

huuh? a solid bud right to the ground? ive never seen what your are describing other than SOG which nobody has mentiond so im guessing that you are saying every inch of you main stem along with branches should be fully budded?
and about small buds, if anything growing your plant bigger is going to allow those small popcorn nugs to grow larger and not be popcorn not make them smaller?

im just trying to claridffy what your saying not trying to argue or anything, i fully agree that leaves are there for a reason and souldnt be choped.

This but do it with at LEAST 7 days left till you switch to 12/12 to avoid stress.

You'll probably have to go in again after 3 weeks to get the new shoots the plant will put out lower but the stress chance at that point is much lower since you're cutting much less.

when i say solid bud i dont mean like a cola. its still popcorn shape..round balls. but they are solid as the top almost...gimme a sec and ill grab a pic of one of my own strains i made to show this...if its ok to tos down a pic here..will help buddy there see how bad i am to...lol

i get they need good light to get tight down low. is why i said try shorter plants. i get 2 to 3 g nugs on my soil line and i dont do all this cutting and prunning stuff. i take week leaves once ,more than 50% has yelowed is all or i tuck them back to let light in

ya which also works, i think you guys are actually talking about 2 different methods and just dont realize, which is where the arguing came in lol. the way your doing it is your taking the branches the plant already has and making the enviorment different (I.E. training and light penetration) to make sure all your appearing buds end up healthy and dense where as the method he (or at least i, i cant be sure what he meant) was preaching involves cutting away the low bud sites early so that it transfers energy to the main nugs in the canopy lining, i use this method because i use SCROG, and anything below the canopy aint gona get light no matter what.

in the end a clone from a single plant one done without the trimming but training, and one with the triming but not as intensive training will both yeild about the same, lets say 40 grams as an example, the untrimmed plant will have many more smaller nugs, still dense and beautiful just smaller, where as the trimmed plant will accomplish the same wight but fewer nugs that are longer and fatter. both almost the same, just growing preferance

Knourgro, thx bud. not sure i just do what i do. to bad i dont know how to grow hey.. they got me 3 to 4 oz each and where 3 foot at harvest. 1x1k light and 9 plants under it....pulled 22 oz 3 to 4 week veg

I just wanted to say that we can't go around deleting every post that disagrees with the thread OP's point of view. As long as someone doesn't start blatantly using insults or hate speech, it usually stays up unless they're persistent. Then it's either edited or deleted depending on the post. Also I didn't get a email report until yesterday soooo....

THC is only found in the trichomes. And a plants potency is limited by genetics.....but pinching the popcorn buds will send more energy to the buds above. Making them bigger but no more potent than genetics allow......

but thc is throughout the plant but it wasnt the topic here...lol just lesser levels. i under stood that the slight more growth will go to other areas in the plant but as said over and over,..wont be anymore potent.
not sure but seemed all insults to me. when someone has a handicap and then is repeated;ly insulted or made fun over the handicap isnt that called an insult..and even worse beimng its to do with a handicap or injury? he may not know my eyes are damaged but sure made me feel like shit yesterday by reminding me of an old injury. to me and mnost that is called insulting. if not worse. making fun of injured people is just plain sick.
but i thank you for cleaning the sandbox up in here. all it would have taken was a mod or higher to step in and poke the culprit and ask to keep on topic. not looking to ban kids. they just come back under diff names and gets worse.
