Trump tariffs kill progress

Highly doubtful it appears. They are trying to deregulate any check on them so they don't have to spend as much on product safety, or guarding the environment. Just to become richer, because, as I asked Google last month, greed knows no bounds.

Like a headline I just read on news about Tesla. It said something about it's stock rising..., for what reason? It was that rules regarding self driving were being relaxed with regard to accident reporting. It wasn't because Musk and Tesla finally decided that they'd employ lidar, along with cameras to make them safer. It allows for more accidents ffs. Musk doesn't give a flying f*ck about who gets hurt. It's all about the money. So, he can put more dangerous cars on the road, and just eliminate a huge expense, human drivers.

At any rate, it's the people on the margins who will be hurt the most. I guess it is up to the rest to fight for something better for everyone. Too bad there has been a "globalization of indifference ", as Pope Francis put it. Noone cares enough to lift a finger. It's pretty obvious the USA isolating itself will further intensify this truth. There are protests, but I mean really, what change are they making? If they get bigger, the felon will just squash them. I think the next president will likely be either Musk, or maybe Don jr. lol.

The China tariffs are real, good people! I purchased a scooter wheel with tire from AliExpress two weeks ago for $55. I've been playing the game of, "Will this make it to me this time?", because the 2 I ordered kept getting shipped back to the company with a full refund to me. I only ordered one last time, which may be why it made it to me. I was excited, so I went to order another last night and with the tariff, the price jumped to $127!!! $55 for the wheel with shipping, and $70 tariff. Of course, we knew this was coming, glad I ordered and received a bunch of China shit in anticipation of this, especially a new ebike I had my eye on. Check out their explanation under Additional charges, they ain't fuckin' around -

It's an addiction. No amount of money is enough, and they DON'T want to give up any of it. See Rump stiffing his Polish illegal immigrant workers of their wages. Contracts mean nothing.

Another thing to consider is that many of these Chinese companies are on TicTok and YT telling US consumers how to bypass the tariffs with creative shipping methods if you work with them directly. Not sure of the details, perhaps they ship to a Canadian or Mexican (or even Russian) warehouse, then ship it to the US. I'm going to try that for this second scooter wheel. I'll report back with any progress...

outside of tariffs aliexpress steals almost everything photo wise from small businesses and remakes their products at lower cost because of actual slave labor you shouldn't be buying from them , tarriff issues aside

the CBC found that aliexpress, shein, temu clothing all contain high levels of lead

aliexpress, shein, temu are all the same, i highly recommend not buying from them, if ripping off small businesses doesnt float your boat in terms of stopping the unethical labor standards, the killing of the environment , and dangerous materials inside them ..idk take your pick why not to support
