It's breakfast time here. Got the barako coffee with canned milk, and about get my plate of whatever-silog. Looks like a veggie omelet and fried rice. She made bacon too. It's like the bacon turned this into a complete meal.

When I was teaching open water course I would use "breakfast with rice and fish" as a phrase to remember the buddy check. I like Filipino food but some dishes don't appeal to me. Maybe that's why I remember the acronym so well that way. Seems an odd breakfast to me. Daing na bangus.

I agree that it isn't likely to happen.
What's much more likely is the continuing slow march to authoritarianism we've seen in this country for half a century.
The Democratic Party has long since been co-opted by those with the real power- that is, money- and has become the face of the false opposition.
You're the naive one since you think that just getting a few Democrats into office will make much difference, especially since you believe Joe Manchin is anything but another industry shill who will continue selling out his constituents and the country as fast as he can.

His policies are very similar to Manchin's. He's no friend of people who support universal healthcare. Never once said anything about free college. Supports increased coal production.
He is pro-union, for shoring up the ACA and improving k-12 education. Like Manchin, he's the most progressive candidate on the ballot for that district in West Virginia and I hope he wins.
