Trying to make a shopping list for a 12 cob setup in a 4x4 flowering tent.

The way the frame is I haven't quite left the recommended 6-7 inches from the wall, its more like 4-5.

yeah man 600w in a 5x 5 is nice,and having the extra space will be a major bonus. theres no reason to crowd the tent either,just give them a few inches space from the walls and from plant to plant and the light will find its way down into the canopy much easier.600w of cob light is about like using 750w of hps which is perfect for a 5 x 5 imo.
