What are you trying to do? How much space you want to use up in there? What kind of wattage used? Are you gardening for you only or some dank also for friends?

90 amps is quite a bit. On a standard 120V line, that's 10,800 watts. Must be one hell of a garage. Mine only has one 20 amp breaker for the outlets and another for the opener.

Typical 2 car garage built with de hps should be putting out a min 12-15 lbs.

I would do three rows of 4 lights with roller tables. It will cost some to setup but you should recoup your expenses on the first run

Your amps should be enough to cover all the needed equipment

i got about a 14x14 room just about, with just about 10 ft ceilings. Mostly for my self and just my family but still going for big yields and good dank. Just kind of stuck on what equipment to grab now. what lights if i should do a automatic water system, stuff for co2, suggested lights, if i should get a big ac. Thanks everyone

Got a 20x20 double garage that I’m growing out of now... best times are Oct- April.. run off hours 7 p.m - 7 a.m..but I’m running CHM and these times work well with the temps.. using a 3x3 tent.. At times I let the out going air help warm the garage. If it gets to warm by chance I just open the garage door..Although lately in the daytime temps have been low so I warm the garage with a utility heater until the light comes on..keep the pots off the ground in the winter and I had to get a dehumidifier for rainy days.. other than that good genetics and growing habits should do the trick.. jm2c

Lots of things to consider. How are you going to maintain your environment is the first in my mind and will make the difference in quality, yield, and issues like bugs and pm.

The best lights for yield and quality is 1000w de. But you need a lot of ac to handle the heat load. And your ceilings are low. 8 light room with all of the support equipment is going to need a 45k mini split or similar.

LED’s that are worth a shit are still priced out in my opinion. Hlg500’s are gonna be $800 each and your also going to need an ac.

If I was going to build it out I would go

4 ft footprint for fixture 1000w de

8 lights in two rows of four. Remote ballasts to I can save the 8 inches or so.
45000 mini split
Troll master controller
CO2 burner
225 pint de humi
Times drip in sunshine or coco

Shoot for 1.5 lbs a light while I am dialing it in.

Start on the smaller side. Buy a basic grow book. A couple cmhs lights. Make a small Mylar or panda film room. Buy some good dirt that can take you from veg to harvest. Only do a few plants. Learn to grow in your area before you go nutty with expensive equipment or drown yourself with a ton of plants. Your first couple of grows might be rough. No point in wasting money on electricity or equipment that you may or may not want to keep growing with. I grew for a year with a small 400w hps before I stepped up. I learned a ton and probably saved myself a ton of cash because I changed my method a couple times before I figured out my groove.

But if your more looking for a list( worst case you can use this stuff later for a mom/clone room

A grow book..read it then read it again. Then you can ask and look around the forum better too.
2 315 cmh or a 600w hps (do the cmh)
Yo-yo hangers for your lights
A 5x5 tent (or make your own light proof room)
Inline fan
Ducting
Charcoal filter for smell (if that will be an issue for you in your area...probably a yes)
A thermometer and hydrometer
Small fan to move air around in the tent
Be prepared to buy a dehumidifier or humidifier based on your location
Your hydro or soil setup of choice for plants
Nutrients
Genetics
Be prepared for a small learning curve.

Learn a plant and clone it and grow a ton of it. then you can get bigger. There is definitely a time commitment with these plants...start too big and you will be overwhelmed

What are you looking to do? A small grow or a commercial venture? What climate do you live in?
100 amps is a lot of juice and you can have a pretty big grow.
I live in a colder climate so I built an insulated floor in my garage so that's something to consider. Either way insulate it well and use plenty of silicone sealant to keep out any bugs.
Right off the bat I will tell u to forget HID lighting. It's old technology. Check out fluence spydr or Gavita LEDs. I transitioning from HID to the Gavitas and my yields and quality have gone up, its pricey up front but it will pay off.
Here is my 300sqft garage grow
