I guess I'll have to find some other place to put the box then. I'll try to make a full update tomorrow with pics. When I get home plants are already sleeping so I don't want to take them out for pics and therefore couldn't take any lately.

Can advance that both DP are female!! Only 4 males out of 18 seeds :) happy days!

Should it be darker/green colour ?

What did you use to make it ? I've used buds because I didn't have any leaves, maybe I'll do it again with leaves when I harvest in October :)

I guess it could also change the colour depending on the butter?? the water was green/brown when boiling but you can see the colour of the finished product.
If your's worked be happy :) When it has that dark green color it tends to have an unpleasant flavor. I like to make the butter and separate it from the water it was boiled in. Then I warm it up in a fresh pot of water. This will leech out the color and flavor but leave all the goodies in it. It's less conspicuous too.

So I found another problem with the electricity, when I switch on the light on the kitchen (where I've got the grow-boxes) the fans start spinning slower, I switch off the light and they spin faster. Why does this happen ?
Be careful. Having too much stuff plugged into one outlet can cause a fire. If it's because of the section of the house you may trip the breaker just by turning something on.

24 days for DP18, I already started the LST, I hope is not too late and I can do it without hurting her :) Even if it's 6 days younger than DP17, there's not much difference between them and it showed preflower 5 days before DP17 (at 21 days).

DP17, also started with LST yesterday, same as DP18. Showed preflowers at 26 days:

Critical+ seems to be not growing at all, still don't know if it's male or female. Anyway the powdery mildew problem seems to be gone, we'll see as this week is quite rainy and humid (I hate this weather):

16092010188.jpg

The clones, one looks just like a branch flowering in a pot and the other one grew some completely deformed leaves, I'll forget about them and concentrate on the plants :)

16092010184.jpg16092010185.jpg16092010186.jpg16092010187.jpg

Both DP seem to be doing fine so I'm happy with it, I may leave one in the pc box and the other one in the night-stand and see if that makes much of a difference. I hope the difference is not big coz I'd like to keep growing in the pc box.

Yep, i saw you were growing 12/12 as well and I've been following your grow for the last few days, some nice looking lady you got there, and quite a big space to work on as well.

Thanks for stopping by jebus,

Haven't try the butter yet, may cook something this weekend :) Also saw a recipe where they were using two pots, one for the water and the other one for the butter and the weed without mixing it but I think I saw some words saying that it was better to mix everything with water.

I think the electric installation may not be very well , I don't really have that many things on the kitchen, but will find a different place to put the boxes. May also help for the environmental control (at least it's worth a try).

Quick update.

I got rid of the two clones and the critical+, I'm going to spend my time on both DP which seem to be growing nicely. DP17 will be growing in the pc box and DP18 will be growing in the night-stand. I guess having just a plant per box will also change the humidity and temperature, will be good to check that out and see if it helps to keep the values under control.

I'll probably start germinating some papaya seeds in October as I have space for one more plant in the night-stand.

I've got powdery mildew again :´( This is horrible, every plant I grow gets powdery mildew. I don't know what is going on and not sure how to fix it but if I wanna keep growing I'll have to figure out how to get rid of the fucking PM!!!! :( Every idea is very welcome :)

Have you tried cleaning your Op area. Head to toe. With rubbing alcohol, or something. Are your intake vents close to the ground or something.
Mildew or moss grows in a MORE humid place. so maybe "dry" your area up with more fans or something. You growing in a closet?

Thanks for the reply r2, I've got one plant in a pc box and the other one in a night-stand.
I already added one more fan in the pc box (there's a big air movement) but doesn't seem to have any effect.
In the measures today I saw that the humidity was around 56% but I think it's 10% most of the time.
The night-stand is over a table and the pc box is over the night-stand, they are not over the ground.

I cleaned the leaves with water so right now is better but it'll probably come back. I guess I'll start using neem oil even if I read that it's not recommended during flower.

mhmmm... I think google will tell you what your next move should be. Either the plant is growing it, or it's something in the air. I am not sure, but google can.
Good Luck
My baby has nute lock out, so i feel some pain.

Thanks for the support r2 :) I'm a little bit tired with this problem coz I'm not only having it indoor, I also have it in the plants I grew in the balcony and I also had the same problem (but stronger) in the balcony grow last summer. I think maybe it was a little bit better this year thanks to the neem oil I sprayed on the plants.

The problem with the neem oil is that I read everywhere that it's not good to use it when the plants are flowering but my plants always get p. mildew when flowering so no much choice here. Right now as I see it is either p. mildew or neem and I think neem is a better choice.

I know the best option is to control temperature and humidity to avoid having it in the first place but that's really difficult in a small box and with very high humidity levels outside the box. I was looking into dehumidifiers and may have to buy one of the small ones.

Anyway, as I said, I have no other choice but to look for a way to get completely rid of it so I'll keep monitoring temperature and humidity inside and outside the box and see if I can find a way to control it.

Already read a lot about powdery mildew but couldn't find a definitive solution but will keep reading as well. Now that I don't have more than those two plants, it's priority nº1 :) Off to keep looking for some answer on the internet :)

Cheers :)

Edit: Made a mistake with the dates, It's actually 48 days from seed and 22 days flowering.

So here is an update, even if I got some PM is not the end of the world and the girls keep growing :)

04102010240.jpg04102010239.jpg04102010238.jpg04102010243.jpg

Apart from the mildew seems to be doing alright, all the pistils are green and it's growing like crazy. She is also starting to show the first thricomes, more will come :D. I thought the growth will slow down as she is flowering but in the last 15 days she has grown 9cm (previous 15 days growth was just 6cm). I guess it doesn't matter if she is flowering or not and what matters is how old she is. Anyway I hope she doesn't keep growing like this coz she's already 32cm tall.

About the PM, it was appearing again so I've sprayed some neem oil on her, it will probably work but lets wait and see, will spray some more next week :)

I was gonna wait until the next grow to increase the light (coz I'm really curious of how much can I get with this watts and pots and compare it to the last grow) but I may do it earlier, will see if I can find some 2700k bulbs tomorrow, I'm planning on having around 100W in the pc box.

Oh! almost forgot, I'm feeding these girls, giving them 0.5ml of bio-grow and 0.5ml of bio-bloom to each plant (more or less). I'll do this once a week.

I had a quick look in the morning and the PM problem seems to be much better even if I could still see some PM on one leave. I'll check every leave this evening and probably clean the leaves that have some PM. I guess neem is working :)

Permanent ? yes, I'm gonna try to make this permanent and the decision of the next seeds has been made, I'll be germinating 1 White Widow (fem) and 1 or 2 papaya x unknown (seeds I got last year, will call them PPU). Already grew one of those PPU seeds and it was a really beautiful girl with some amazing thricomes, I hope the next will be as good :) I'll probably germinate 2 PPU seeds coz they are not feminized (or maybe they are) and I'll keep only the best one or the female.

Also trying to figure out how I'm gonna fit two plants in the pc box and trying to find some 2700k bulbs.

So here is DP18, she seems to be doing better, some of the pistils are already starting to get brown and others are still quite green, I'm not sure when will be time to harvest but I'm guessing that growing 12/12 from seed maybe in 3 more weeks ?

She is 27 cm tall right now, keeps staying a little bit smaller that DP17 which is the tallest DP of all the DP seeds I grew indoor, we'll see about the yield.

So I'm starting 3 new seeds as I told you, the two ppu seeds I put them in a glass of water for 12h and as they sank, I put them in peat pellets. It's the first time I use this glass method so I'm not using it for the white widow, the WW was put in the peat pellets directly just in case I mess it up with the glass of water.

Not much more to tell, Only weird thing is that both ppu seeds when in the glass they were sticking together all the time, I separate them several times but soon after they were together again, anybody using this method has noticed ??

Here are a couple of pics, with all the seeds, the papaya enjoying a bath and the ww in the peat pellet.

Your baby looks GREAT. And i am making an early prediction that one papaya is male and the WW is male. Going by this chart and what i see. It could take up to 8 weeks till harvest.
