I don’t necessarily believe that the president is privy to all knowledge. I also don’t believe that any alien captured by us would work with us for strawberry ice-cream. I imagine they would be the cream of the cream of their culture’s special forces and couldn’t be broken. Cyanide pills etc.

I wached a show on this recently. Everytime we remember something that has happened it's a little different than how it actually happened. You add time, years to those memories and we can get pretty far off from what actually went down.

I wasn't trying to debate the judicial system mate was just trying to find a way to get the point across without going into aliens and spaceships.
If we aren't gonna believe world leaders, military leaders etc when they say they've found technology that defies all known laws of physics then what's the point of having these people there?
What's the point of having anyone in power if we aren't gonna believe them on matters of national security.

There is that mate but I think he was referring to actual false memories. Things that never were. There's a word for it I can't remember.
As an example. You know how Mickey mouse always wore shorts with braces.
Sure now that I've mentioned it you can remember him pulling on his braces..
Well go Google an image of Mickey mouse...
It obviously isn't the same for everyone but a lot of people will remember him wearing braces. It's just a wired phenomena off mass effected, false memories.
I've had a long day and that was the first e.g. I thought of but there's lots of them.

Yeah that's the one. I know it's got nout to do with this but someone brought up the argument that we shouldn't believe even the most respected members of society because they can have false memories.
