Ohh and not sure but I just saw at another site that there was a lot of heli's working his area the other day. Maybe he's in the woods geurilla style.

My 2 cents for what it's worth! Although this is a tough time right now it will pass! And we have progressed! 25 years ago I was growing underground and believed that one day we would have the legal right to grow and smoke! The med. law that passed in 2008 is the first step in that direction. It will continue to progress, at times very slowly, and others quite quickly! But know that it will progress! Time has shown us that it will!

The thing that everybody in the MMJ community has to come to realize is that no mater how professional or law abiding we may be, the opposition simply does not like marijuana medical or otherwise. They look at us like we're all just criminal misfits wanting to get high so the sooner we as a community can come together and just accept the fact that we will not change these bigoted peoples backwards way of reefer madness thinking and stop the fighting amongst ourselves; there will be no progress.

Do any of you truly believe a protest anywhere is going to change bill shitty's mind on mmj in michigan? Do any of you think bill shitty or his cronies will ever be satisfied so long as any medical marijuana is available to any patient in the state of michigan? What must be done to protect our voter approved rights is to eject these corporate puppets out of office at the next election through organization and mobilization within our own community. We need to insure not only that we get ourselves to the voting booth but also our friends, our family, and and our neighbors within our community. There is only 1 thing politicians care about more than money my friends and that's securing their reelection. When you threaten either their money or their seat in office; you suddenly have their attention. You want to show these people you're serious? Forget the protest and put your efforts into organization on election day. What good will a protest do if these clowns get reelected? Absolutely nothing.

Showing support and voting will never get anything done. I mean for ever one person you convince or persuade to vote "yes" there is 50 people that just seen on the news ALL these "so called legal" idiots breaking the MMJ laws as they stand and are voting NO against you. How can a few thousand supporters ever change the destruction these idiots are massing in the public media by the tens of thousands? Never will, sorry sad truth.

When you realize its more about actions (like following laws, staying out of the public eye, telling your buddies friends the difference between "right" and "wrong") then by showing up once every year "trying" to change things. Maybe then there will be a chance, because you're not shooting yourself in the foot before you even begin to fight. It's common sense but yet so many have a problem seeing it. Sad.

You REALLY want to make a difference, try asking your friends that they shouldn't be using MMJ cards for their newly found miniature drug cartel they think they have going or that dispensaries you know of selling to anyone. Then the other things will naturally fall into place, I mean how do you think to move forward when so so MANY MMJ patients are dragging you back?!

Honestly, how can you expect more freedom for MMJ when you can't go a day without someone getting busted in the news?! Yet you still think showing up will change anything? Sigh.

I hate to say it, but i wish i could have shown them a picture of my brother burned to a crisp from the full body radiation they used in the early 80s to treat cancer. as you can imagine he didnt make it. all this is going to do is force it back underground.people will still grow and sell just like before. i didnt like the collectives anyway but every one should not get thrown under a buss because of it. it will always be here it always has been here.

Are you serious? So basically it's the patients' fault that Michigan is a police state? Nobody learned anything from Engler huh? When someone with a uniform comes and puts a foot on your neck for no other reason than the government agenda doesn't match the public agenda then maybe you will see that it takes polls and protests (Jack Herer, anyone??? or do you guys just like the strain???) to see change...the vast majority of card holders (100% of the one's I know in Michigan) are legit and operate on a legal basis, but pricks in authority have their ownrules and they dont fucking follow them a lot of the time...I know I have had civil liberties straight stripped and a big 'fuck you' from the authorities. Laying back and just taking whatever the state has to offer...shit you are about to find yourself with nothing. You're correct saying that people need to follow rules and regulations...but that applies to the government and their officials more-so than anyone, and when they have failed to protect and adhere to what the public and the voters want...then you have to let them know your demands in a peaceful protest. It's sad when we find reasons to NOT do anything we feel has wronged us or the community (but its YOUR community.....).

I don't have any friends that are breaking the mmj law so I wish I could help kick those people in the nuts for ya but I choose my company a little more wisely. I agree with some of the points you made but I do not agree with your stance on elections not mattering. Tony, if people hadn't shown up in 2008 on election day, we'd have no medical marijuana law to even debate so showing up does obviously matter. You're simply wrong on that one.

For the people that are breaking the law and growing more plants than allowed and selling to unregistered patients, I do agree that they are not helping the community but rather hurting it. Does that justify an attempt by our elected officials to close dispensaries who provide safe access to their registered patient members who have no other source to obtain their meds?

I sincerely hope that I do not see a yes response because the issue hits very close to home with me as my wife is a cancer survivor who relies on access at our local dispensary until her caregiver completes his grow for her next month.

Good post there man. So very true. I think after today, I have amended my feelings in regards to attending the protest in lansing. Today I called my wife's dispensary to make sure they were open amidst all this recent appeals court ruling crap and I found out that they have closed the dispensary. Per their lawyer's advice, they are only doing delivery's now and the new price for their meds is $0, however they require a delivery donation for the meds. Apparently this is soon to be the story all across michigan....this needs to change and at this point, I agree that protests and demonstration is not a bad idea. Cutting off access to legitimate patients all over fucking politics is one of the most disgusting things I have ever witnessed in my life. Meanwhile, I can go to any pain management clinic in the damn state and get hooked up with oxycontin, percacet, vicodin, methadone, etc......and I'm so fucking sure that every one of those patients at those clinics (not to mention the crooked doctors running them) are law abiding upstanding citizens who aren't diverting and reselling schedule 2 controlled narcotics. But bill shitty isn't on any crusade to shut down those places now is he? hypocrisy at it's best folks.

Voting and protests goes hand-in-hand, if change doesn't result, then you have to march and protest on every public forum you can until you see the change come about that is desired. What? Does these changes come about with no work? Civil rights, women's rights, gay rights...they all have done this...and are STILL doing this many years later. If you don't or can't attend the organized events, then find another personal way (that is both non-violent and doesn't hurt the reputation of the cause) to combat these evils.

What the voters wanted and what the patients now are doing or trying to get away are different. So hypocrisy starts in the mirror...

Doesn't quite work the way you planned when the evil is on your side.

Why don't you go get a job with Schuette and join the 'good' guys with the 'righteous' cause...if you let a few bad apples distance yourself from what's right and wrong then fine. May I ask what it was that brought you to this hopeless mind-state? Did you get wronged by a shady dispensary?

Tony, I raised a question to you earlier in the thread and this is your response? You again tell me to look in the mirror as if I'm one of the hapless scumbags you see getting busted on the news for breaking the law, so I have no choice but to assume you have selective reading disorder. Or is that foot in mouth disorder? Get back to me so that we can clear up this little discrepancy.

No not at all, nor do I have any kind of disease. I am sorry if I had given you too much educational credit to understanding the English language.

I answered your question (in a non-directional way which is why you are probably lost), and that was if you can't see the truth then you are probably the hypocrite (laymen terms for you).

If you would like I can start up a community college refresher course in the English language, grammar and if need be the understanding of it as well.

if only we realized-

noones gonna get rich. they took it.
what we should have done was policed ourselves. every guy that grew 3 ounces all of a sudden with dollar signs in his eyes.
the disp owners same thing. if we'd just get an even keel, and put the effort in required for any CAREER, we'd be fine.

sucks now to have to charge patients, but it seems most are willing to pay outrageous prices anyway.

at the rally my sign will say to the suits, put up or gtfo.
