I understand it's not the best setup or grow technique but I invested in this so I need to figure out how to make the best of it

He supposedly has grown indoor before but I've witnessed success with him outdoors

Start watering and feeding those plants properly and get the lights closer. That is where you should start. You can't treat coco like soil. Those plants can be saved but you need to get on it right now. Even then the end yield will be considerably less than if the plants had been taken care of properly from the beginning.

I'm not trying to sound like a jerk but it seems you guys had more money than you did knowledge about growing cannabis. Like I said. I can't look at that picture. It's too depressing. If I had that room I don't even know how many pounds I would harvest but it would be many.

Lower the lights, start watering properly which might pose a problem because those pots are so large for those stunted plants. They could easily get waterlogged. I'd start with a quart of nutrient solution around the base of the plant until they start looking better. Then I'd start watering more while looking for roots poking out the sides and bottom of the fabric pots. Once you see roots then water daily till runoff. But those pots are too big. Five gallon is all you need for indoors. I use three's myself. Those look like seven to tens. But don't change them now.

It actually looks like those plants are being given plain water. Coco has no nutrients. You have to feed in coco from day one. Even starting seeds in coco the coco should have been charged with nutrients.

I would swap out that coco for soil and save the coco for when you get more experience

killing them and regrouping with a new game plan needs to be considered

unless you guys get some serious help you not gonna be happy and most likely will not cover your costs

I would shut down educate myself then start over if it was me

bring your buddy here..let him read this thread...then he'll either get pissed or get smart...if he gets pissed, write off your investment, take whatever pathetic results you get, and call it a learning experience....if he get's smart, a lot of us would be glad to offer him advice....

I really appreciate all the advice. I had a talk with him and he's not going to start over. He's going to try to save them. Wish me luck. I'll be back with updates in a week or so.

Follow this advice or you will regret the results

Disagree completely about lowering the lights. There is too much light. Look at the small miniature leaves, bean-stalking. Wayyyyy too much light. I’d tell Your friend to scrap them, start again in solo cups under 1 small light all huddled together. He’s in 6th gear when he should be in 1st. He has a lot to learn. Indoor is def not outdoor growing. You control The conditions indoor, Mother Nature does her thing outdoors.

Man those look bad they will bounce back if feed properly you just wasted at least a month if those are 3 week old clones they should be 4x that size. Your buddy has no clue how to grow I hope you didn't invest much

He's using some nutes called elite he got from the hydro store and I think he just follows the cart

Bummer man I hope you at least make most of your money back

So he bought cal mag and is going to get some ph down. I questioned ph and he said it was 6.5 so hopefully I can relay the rest of the helpful suggestions.

Need more info man, air exchange? Watering schedule? Ph? Light distance?

3 ton ac unit and 6 wall mounted fan and an exhaust running 24hrs. He said his ph was like 6.5 seems to water once a week bc it's a big pot and lights are I'd say 8' ceiling

Ok. Thats a start. Not an expert on coco but wouldnt you require smaller pots and more regular watering to allow more oxygen to roots?? Watering once a week seems like a long time in between waterings to me!!? Also lights seem very far away. Are the 1000 watters dimmable? Seems like a waste of power also. Drop the lights back to 50% and bring them closer to plants. What nutes are you using?

A question to the coco growers..... isnt coco ph supposed to be 6.2? Some of the hydro guys use solution from their res at 5.8 ph with no issues. Wouldnt you treat coco more like hydro as its a soiless medium??
