DANGER
If your all set and ready to fill:
BE SURE there are no flames near by, or objects that can cause static electrical sparks (dryers, refrigerator, etc.)
Butane gas can stay around for a long time and present problems if there is not proper venting.
MAKING IT:
Fill the extractor with as much butane as it will allow. Once full, allow the extractor to sit at room temp. Giving the butane time to wash the material seems to work best but for
how long I can not recommend.
Slowly crack the valve and begin to spray the liquid onto your glass bowl, dish, etc.
The same material can be washed over and over until there is no more TCH to render.
What you should see first is a liquid spray containing a yellow tint. This is the mixture of Butane and Cannabis Oil. The butane will start to boil off at room temp *GAS EXPLOSIVE* leaving behind the oil.
One problem with butane extraction is the traces of butane that are left behind. If you do not give the oil proper time to separate from the butane, you will be smoking it.
TIP: Placing the container in warm water (NOT HOT or you will cook off your THC) speeds up the butane boiling process.
(PICS: This is what the oil looks like while there is still butane present. Notice the bubbles. I placed the ball into a bowl to show size and to allow you to see it free standing)
Once the oil has sat long enough to be smoked, it will be a clear amber color.
Given that it is genuine oil, placing it directly into a pipe would be a bad choice. I like to dip buds into the oil, smear it onto a paper for joint rolling, cook with it, etc. Enjoy!
