Unknown issues with grow

i really have a feeling it might be root bound though, its a relatively small sized pot becase i want to keep it smaller.
that could be an issue, it's hard to judge size from pics
what size pot do you have?

no exactly sure, id have to say 2-3 gallon. definitely no smaller than 2
i grow with 2 gallon pots, not huge grows, but have good luck with pots of that size
but 2 gallons is for small plants, mine finish at 2 - 2 1/2 feet
done lst's in pots of this size too, worked great, but i veg for about 3 weeks

so you only veg for 3 weeks after it pokes its head out of the soil? what kind of lights are you using? im very limited on space so im only able to use CFL'S.

its just starting to show for sure signs of being female too...maybe the strain is just a slow grower?

yup, just 3 weeks, micro grower, get about 1 oz per female if everything goes well
yours could be a slow grower, but i think it's more a case of something not right
it can be tough to nail a diagnosis because more than 1 problem may be in play
in general, it looks like deficiency of some sort, if memory of the pic is correct
but deficiency can come from nutrient lock up's, you may have plenty of food in the dirt but not getting to the plant properly

so whats the best advice you can give to me then? what would you do ?
since you called me out, i'd probably transplant to new soil and pot
that's not risk free, but cannabis usually takes shocks pretty well
you've already flushed out once, that make me wonder what the condition of the soil is like
transplant gives the blankest slate you can get, and you can inspect the roots thoroughly

I bet $100 bucks its an Mg deficency. Check your nutes and soil and see if they offer Magnesium. I seen this problem before trust me. Did you add gardening lime to your soil? And if not you should it wil fix the problem.

Even if you add the calmag you still can run into mag deficiency depending on how much you use plus if you have too much calcium you will have a lock out and Mag won't be available as well as Nitrogen. They are not rootbound for sure. If they were your leaves will start to spin outward thats how you know when it is root bound, I guaranteed you if you transplant there will be a few roots visible unlike a root bound plant will have roots surrounding the soil. I have had a 12 inch plant in a 1 gallon pot. Then they started to show signs of root bound.

Edit: I use calmag myself and I still get mag def

So do you think my best bet is cutting down on the calmag or just using tap water and ph'ING it to right level? What did you do in your situation?

I have (had) plants that are 8 months old that are (were) in a container of around one quart..the roots have filled every space (conainers are semi clear). The roots of all fast growing weeds need lots of oxygen...good drainage and allowing the dirt to dry out can help. Make sure that your soil has something to break it up. I like to stress my plants at about 3 weeks and once a month after that. Don't let anyone tell you that CFL is bad for the plant.

I stopped using Calmag and put some epsom salt and grow nutes and you should see improvement in a week or 2.

I don't think your soil has enough perlite. I like mine with 15 to 20% perlite. That is probably why its growing slowly, as it is not getting enough oxygen to the roots due too much water etc. Do you break up the top layer of soil?

Get with the lime, and grow happy. Trust me the last thing i would do is lose $100 bucks.

How does the epsom salt work? just desolve it into my feed and my plain h20?

Just do the things listed. You can dissolve the epsom salt in a gallon of water. They will have directions on the back. Try breaking up the soil only about an inch of layer of soil no more than that. You don't want to hit the roots too much. I do that every day, as it helps the roots breathe.
