UpDayDay has been using different tech then regular leds for awhile now. There's the voltage to the diodes change between spectrums rather then diodes being off or on, they all get used just at different power levels between veg+bloom. They have sunset/sunrise built in with built in timer. Also the cmh spec one has the vdp analysis sensors and ability but I've never used it. I'd imagine that setup would be good for someone in a tent, saving them $ on digital sensors. They also carry nice spectrums and the newest ones have several variable spectrums to choose from. Way ahead of most expensive options. All daisy chainable and can run the one as the main controller for several as they all link. Very bright with pivoting bars. Ppfd's are actually better then my HE QB's at the same wattage. Probably has allot to pivoting bars but straight down it was too. I feel the Reflectors have allot to do with the par numbers being so high. The 400w models cover a 3x4' plant well and have yielded 2# plants in a crosslit situation.
Yes, they are inexpensive and the connections or aluminum hooks that link the cmh spec light power supply to the bars are thin and can snap if pressuring them crooked but that's about it. Military time can be a bitch but you only need to do it once in order for sunset/sunrise to function. It held the time and continued to work even when I connected it to the main timer. Must have a rechargeable battery in there.
They're pretty high tech, service is good too. These are the nicest inexpensive leds I've ever grown with.
I'm glad to see this thread here if I haven't said it already! Nice work growers!
