arc protection for your eyes is no joke
I went to school for welding, my eyes are more sensitive than others, after a long day of welding the arc will make you tired it isn't all about UV but also is about the intensity of the light and how you shade it, and what your eye color is. You can have permanent damage without the proper safety equipment in welding. All an HPS is , is an arc in a bulb, same deal.

look into mirrored safety glasses based on eye type!

General info : The iris of a person with blue eyes has no protective pigment unlike a person with gray or brown eyes. Rx glasses in the USA DON'T BLOCK UVC! Sun glasses don't block UVC, glasses sold to indoor growers don't block UVC! If you do find a UVC protective coating it must be checked by a licensed optician to insure its a full block of uvc and not just a 80% block. If licenced by a state they must check them for free or report them. If they lie sue them.

My eyes started showing strain which i fully believe is from my grow lights. I spent the money and got a pair of Method Seven hps+ glasses and holy fucking shit. Not only does it just about eliminate all the reddish light from the hps bulb, but it also saves and protects my eyes. No more eye strain so they do perform like advertised. In the future i wont hesitate to spend the money on something good. There is no comparison between plastic hydro store glasses and a good pair of Method Seven's.

Method seven has full UV protection and IR absorption. The website doesn't say A B and C but if you watch there videos on youtube they go into more detail. They say they have one of the few lenses that block UV C.

I know UVC is harmful to anyone, but what about UVB? It is said that the plant production lamp is made of UVB, I guess it may be safe for the human body
