vacum sealing your buds

I have a question for some of the master minds of roll it up?
if i would dry my harvested buds, then place in a vacum sealer( like the ones on tv) would i be able to cure with the bags,
i know that there are bags that leach out moisture.
could this work or would i waste my time and cash by trying to cure in these bags.
2# would it work well for storage ?

just cure it in jars or tuperware, and yes its a perfect way to transport or store bud using the vacum seal stuff.

im no expert by any means but for curing I dont think it would work because you have to let air in everyday or 2 in able to cure properly....as for storing I think its a great idea...hell thats what they do on weeds...lol

It would probably take a very long time to cure in vacuum sealed bags. I've never done it though... so I'm not entirely sure.

Yes, thats the ideal way to store buds.

If I were to guess (and that's all it is, is a guess) I would say that it would not work. It doesn't seem like anyone really know the proper answer so I would keep researcing

The thing about cureing is its not about just getting he moisture out of the bud but it is to let all moisture to complex in flavor and to spread through out the bud so in the vacumed bags would be no good for lack of free air (if you know what i mean?? The air can only hold so much moisture to spread you cant have four people sitting in the cab of a ford ranger.....

Ooo, Greenleafhigh has a point. When we cure in jars we are suppose to allow fresh air in daily. So that is probably the answer. No, it don't think it would work. I think...

ok i think that the consensus is to cure the buds like regular then change to vacuum bags to seal in the flavor.

how long should a bud cure for the ultimate flavor. and potency?

Think in terms of really good cigars, you'd not vacuum pack them. They are set in humidors with controlled temps and humidity. Weed is the same it gets better when taken well care of and you'll appreciate the difference and the extra care.

If you do decide to vacuum seal your buds make sure they are very dry. It is very easy to lock in moisture and with the vacuum seal now allowing the bud to breathe, it will promote mold. Your taste and smell will suffer, unless you like smelly socks.

the reaason that im asking is the house that im in right now has alot of mold and im afread of that getting in to my cureing buds. during the drying phase, the thought was if it was dryed and vacuumed of the air inside that the mold wouldnt be able to grow. but as i now am finding out its inpossible to do this. ill be thinking of a wasy to make a sealed drying chamber.
