OMG it took forever... 2 1/2 hours to repot 20 plants... to be fair, had to mix 3 batches of soil as well. I ended up mixing the sunshine hydro and rainforest mixes so the Ace of Spades and Cheesequake got the mix. Apollos got the roots (they can take a little hit if there is any) -- roots sure beats sunshine hands down as far as a quality mix... we'll see how the plants like it... They're in the dark now til I come home from lunch then I gotta put the lights up... i'm gonna try and water before I leave to work but may have to wait til lunch.
On the bright side, I found out what was wrong with the plants... too much moisture at the bottom of the solo cups... lotta moisture buildup down there and easy to tell roots weren't growing all the way to bottom in some of the cups because of it, especially the sickly ones.. but that won't be an issue now with airpots. The one thing I like about airpots over smart bags is that overwatering is impossible if you use the right soil mix that drains well -- airpots unlike smart bags allow air to flow UNDER the pot and hit the bottom of the soil -- so you'll never get a big mass of wet soil at the bottom unless you don't have enough perlite in it for it to drain properly. With smart bags most have a solid bottom (no air) and whether they have a solid or fabric bottom, it sits straight on the surface, so there's no air flow at the bottom of the soil.
The airpots fit perfectly 3 per tray I got... I'm short 3 trays though so right now the ace of spades and CQ are in trays and the apollo and genius-deep chunks are not. i'll pick up some more today. That'll let'em fit perfectly 2 trays per shelf so that the 3 strains should fit on one shelf, and there should be enough room left over for the 2 extra genius x deep chunks somewhere.
I planted the plants at an angle... you'll see how that goes when i get back home and take vid will most likely post at lunch.
