I would go CFL all the way man..... Innexpensive and effective.....plus they run a lot cooler than HPS.

I would use MDF board for the Box.

some CFl lights (6500k for veg and 2700k for flower)

and some good computer case fans..... pushing atleast 89CFM.... plus, the bigger the fan, the quieter it'll be.... I use 140mm PC fans.

for reflective material.....if u cant afford Mylar, then buy some Reflectix bubble insulation....it's lined with mylar, and its easy to work with.

I watched this video series on youtube to get some ideas...... the box I built was bigger and less stealthy....... Im not worried about stealth tho, im a medical patient :)

its a 24 video series, watch it all........ videos 11-13 are important tho....cause thats where he builds the light traps.

Yeah i would go with CFL's, that cup you were talkin about was mine. I got that yield with 184 watts of CFL's, Or 8, 23 watt Bulbs, the 100 watt replacements.

I had mine like this, this was before i added two more, only six showing here





I got some more cups going that I put into flowering yesterday. Gonna be using this same set up, but like stated with 8 bulbs.

Now here comes the hard part.. when their aprrox. 5-10inches tall.. Mix TWO solutions of water, 1 mixxed with peanut butter which will take a while to mix up so i normally pop in microwave.. then the other with Jam,, jelly works but Organic Jam is best. Water one Female with the Jam and the Male with the peanut butter for the rest of their veg and flowering stage. Breed them and once your female is pollinated use both Peanut Butter and Jam Mixture to water her. .. then youll have seeds for your own PB&JKush

How many where you growing under that wattage sicc? Also how long did you veg and what was the yield? Thanks, I have a 12/12 from seed pc cup grow going on right now with about the same wattage for three girls but its catching some light from the 250 aswell :)

That was a great read bro, appreciate the links! Very impressive party cup grows!! I remember coming across them when I first started and it was very informative at the time!!! If you get a min come by and checkout my party cup grow, its my first attempt and I ran 12/12 from seed to experiment but its going pretty good so far. Thanks again, I don't think I have to say it but +REP :)

Yeah those will go into regular sockets, they should be perfect, i used a clap light for mine, and took the reflectors off.

I used the clamp lights without reflectors aswell. I also used the little adapter that hold bulbs and plugs into a power strip. Both work well:)

srry bout the absence guys. had no router for a while. i just finished my grow box last night...and transfered the plants into legitimate pots. once i find the transfer cable for the camera...ill post pics

this is 20 days from origianal pics.
they have been under a (slightly fluctuating) 12/12 light scheduel since 11-12-10. on tuesday i transfered the plants into new pots...roughly 3X the size of the origianl cups.
there is also a couple pics of the box...made in avout 5 hrs. forgot to put up pics of light fixture but there are only 3 CFL's as of now...2 14watt and one 18watt.
keep in mind i have spent $0.00 on this little experiment.

....any idea on sex?

Nice man, she looks a lil stretched but the new growth is nice and compact. for nothing paid thats pretty good, but some bigger wattage lights would help. She'll show sex soon. maybe once she show sex, and if she's a female you can re vegg her and get some more growth going. Have you looked into LST, Low Stress Training?
