That is a sticky situation man..here's my two cents so take it with a grain of salt..If u get a decent carbon filter u shld have no problems and no smells as long as everything is set up right, if ur room is upstairs and away from ur child and any services he may be needing than u should be ok..that being said, your a grown man, ask YOURSELF, is this whole thing gonna get ur child taken away? If there's even the slightest chance that they would wanna look around his living environment to see how he reacts to different environments within the home, then by God I personally wld have no reservations about getting rid of everything and even quit smoking if it came to that..ur children mean way more than any amount of medicine. We have no problem ditching a half pound of weed if a cop pulls up behind us to save our own ass...what lengths wld u go to to save ur child's??? Sorry I'm not trying to sound like negative Nancy or ne thing like that I just have seen children taken away for less and the strain it puts on a family all for one silly mistake..not worth it bro, But again ur a grown man and in the end the decision is urs..just remember u can smoke anytime and grow anytime but u sure as shit can't get urs kids BACK anytime..good luck

I don't use a tent either
before I build that "room" I just had a few plants on a table, but odor became too much for me, even tho my neighbors are nice Ppl. and don't mind, the odor made it hard for me to stay/sleep in my apartment, once I got the ventilation/filter up running my apartment was odorless in less then two hours and I could sleep and stay in there agin
I used some sealer and stuff to make it air proof, but even if you can't make the room 110% air tight you can easily handle it as long as you keep a under pressure in there, then it will pull air in the cracks/holes
a ozon generator is a perfect way to keep the rest of the house odorless but IMO its sum thing to add to the vent/filter not to replace it, can replace the onA gel

they use em on hospitals, retirement homes and industrial kitchens aso

Ive been threw this before when he was just getting diagnosed, i was growing in a more fucked up situation. and honestly i think the social worker knew that i was either growing or just always had good shit.. and she eneded up saying something one day. that it remeinded her of a dead concert she went to. but she was really cool. and she seen me at some of the worst pain i was in and knew the story behind it and all.. they never looked around the house, basicly they sit in one spot and talk to ou and the kid and try to give ya advice. i have the room locked and it down stairs where he isnt allowed not does he ever go. But i totaly understand. what your saying, and i think i know what i have to do but its my addiction to being outa pain thats driving me to even consider this. and oddly my wife is the one that said if you can get rid of the smell keep it going . and shes usualy the paranoid one...

then try, buy the filter/ventilation and set it up, run if for a few days and ask a friend or somebody you trust and who knows over and ask if s/he can smell anything, if your live in it you kinda get tolerant to the odor, tho when I think about it, I can't smell anything when I get home after a days work and open the door, but when I have a newly cut harvest drying in there I get hit by the odor once I open the door

I extended this closet so I could have a small veg area.
However like slipon said start with the fan n filter.
I like his idea of sealing a room instead if building a tent.
I know of a collective which is not in a tent but an outbuilding that uses
big ass filters and it is oder free.

The filter will make a world of different compared to a glass of OnA gel that I can promise you, and as I said, when I first started growing I also skimmed on the filter at first, until it became too much even for me to live in, after two hours of running my apartment was odor free

i use that shit for everything also, my problem is that the room is built from like planks and old school plank and hardwood floors above, so i figured that a panda film would be cheaper and easyer than trying to seal each crack, ive already tryed and i put up chaulking the joints and the light still shines through

they aint comming just yet i figure that i have a little bit of time yet, still unsure if i wanna put the money into it.. ill just make it into a veggie grow, but that could get stinkie to sometimes too. but not as bad lol... has anyone grew blue mystic or northern lights.. does it stink just like the other plants or is it not that bad,,, and would it be easily filtered??? and thanks..
