They wanted the autocratic strong leader and wanted to turn the clock back to a white supremacist society. That's what MAGA was always about.

There can be no excuses about the vote for Trump's second term. It would have ended our democracy. Given how his Party and supporters have behaved since he lost, ending our democracy was fine with them. So, nope not giving them a pass at "they didn't know". They knew.

What big ticket item was it that most allows for them to feel morally superior?

Usually I think it is the baby murderer thing they like to convince themselves is real to want to pretend all the other things they know is wrong can be argued.

As an outsider looking in........Canuck.......I have to smile at the ramblings on this thread.

Fact is Biden wasnt in power for 20 minutes when he sent a hundreds (maybe thousands?) to their
eventual death. In this climate of Covid and unemployment only a short sided moron would deal a death blow
to many who only had this single opportunity to change their lives. Suicide is fatal, it brings on many changes....

I think you are talking out of your ass and don't know enough to possibly say that with the confidence that you do. There are many things that Trump did that will not be able to be undone. Some may be good, but it is going to be decades before whatever cons he pulled are really understood enough for some future congress to have to fix.
