Whats up everyone I hope all of you are good Just thought I would share my idea and get some ideas from anyone here that has done anything this big for a up coming grow Im getting ready to start I have grown in soil before so yea I have some experince well enough small talk this is what I want to do.

Im only using the bottom bay of the warehouse for growing 15'x30'(upstairs office will be turned in living quarters for partner)

7- 1,000 watt lights hps
84 plants Nirvana (Venus Fly Trap)
2.5 ton central a/c for temp controls
Dutchmaster Gold nutes

The system I was planning on using is a multi flow system with 2 gallon buckets with a 55 gallon resv. I have never done any hydro growing and I wanted something with ease of growing b/c I dont want to be going there everyday so if this system is not for me me please let me know and give me some ideas of something that is and how to run it for best results

Last thing on my last soil grow I was able to pull 2oz off each plant using 5 1000 watt lights do you guys think I can double that in this grow using all the info above

Thanks for all the help ahead of time

That sounds very interesting - Have you already grown in this 'warehouse'?

Is it the type on an industrial estate?

The maths is as follows,

7000w / 84 = 83.3333333
83.333333 / 28 (1oz) = 2.98

So the figures add up @ 1gpw. But the reason I ask if you have grown here before is down to temperature control and ventilation. Are you able to keep these at optimum levels with your equipment?

Bauer No I havent grown there I was growing in a house I was renting but my electric bills where way to high just using 5 lights I wanted to use all my lights so decided to rent this warehouse. The temps are going to be fine b/c my last grow i used 5 lights and I only had a 10,000 btu a/c and the temps were always at like 85 a little high for me but this time Im going to be using a 2.5 ton central a/c ducted to that bay only

I honestly hope this isn't illegal and you own a medical store or something. I would hate hate hate to see this shut down. But you should post some pics, I wanna see this place.

Sanibelgreen yes my last grow was 84 plants in a house I was renting i knocked down a wall that connect two rooms so I ended up with one big room the only difference was that they were grown in 4 gallon buckets with soil so this is my first hydro grow thats what I need the most help with the system I should use for ease of operation so I dont need to be going to the warehouse every other day to fill resv. and other crap

you dont want to have to be there every day so you choose hydro over soil????

lets think here... soil you water every 3-5 days, no rez keep full, ph to keep in check, or ppm's to maintain. hydro gets fed multiple times a day...thats multiple times a day pumps can fail, with that many plants your going to use gallons of water each day that will need replaced and adjusted, and dozens of other high maintenence items. a hydro op of any decent size needs daily attention.

Ahem... What>!

Now that is bad ass! I bet the owner loved you :-P

I really do wanna see this up and running.

I was also looking to rent out a warehouse - But to run as a business with an grow room out back, not a warehouse for a grow room.

I wish you the best of luck, but you say the electricity cost was high at the house - surely it'd cost more/the same in the warehouse?

For 84 plants, Id say soil - but automation always attracts me. Soil would save you on pump running costs and possibly flooding.

Do you have to go through the warehouse to get to the living quaters? It'd be great to see a sketch of the layout.

7000w? you should do hydro. If you lack experience you will not get the return you thought this run but maybe next run. something this big you could pull over the 1gpw have you thought about running CO2 would be a large benefit. If you are comfortable then by all means go for the gusto and end the rat race!

Well they never noticed I put the way back up when I was done lol

Ill have some pics in like a month when I start

The electricity will probaly be the same or more but it is easier to explain in a warehouse where alot of people have
all kinds of electric equipment in there warehouses

Yea I think soil will work to but I will have to make some kind of trays for the plants b/c when flushing time comes along moving all those plants are a pain in the ass

No there is a hallway that leads upstairs to the living quarters and the hallway has a door to the warehouse bay

if it comes down to hydro not being self run friendly I will go soil again just this time I will build some trays so I dont have to move every plant when it comes time to flush them that is a major pain in the ass

no its not wired I will run the wire myself but yea thats the reason Im moving my grows to warehouses its alot less suispious using 500-600 a month in electricity in a warehouse compared to a house and no landlords checking up on u
