OP, great question, i think this is a subject that would be fascinating to thoroughly learn. Ive put some effort into it at times then get busy and go back to intuitive growing, but each time i study my intuition is enhanced by the knowledge i gained...
By far not an accomplished expert but from reading and learning and expirimenting (no ability to do a solid side by side here) i thing warm and humid provides most rapid growth... but dry and cool seems to enhance quality... so my better rounds ive run hot n humid and co2 till mid flower then backed down co 2, heat and humidity to finish cool and dry...
Thats based off my rudimentary understanding of the topic, id love to find a good book, even not directly on cannabis but on the science behind this topic in detail...
