yeah if they recognize PTSD as a 'real' disorder...they will have to go all the way back to the vietnam vets and give them what they deserve!

they dont want to admit its real --
--they tell soldiers to 'suck it up' and stand strong....they used to call it 'shell shock' from WW2-

i got PTSD....
-every time i hear helicopters or see police....i want to run and hide in the bushes--

its for real and a motherfucker if you have ever been traumatized by war or the police-
I love this post cause its important for everyone to understand PTSD doesn't just exist in soldiers but sex crime victims, and other victims of violence as well as seeing battle. And PTSD patient group sounds awesome! :eyesmoke:

[h=1]Michigan Approves Medical Marijuana For PTSD, Not Insomnia Or Autism[/h]A Michigan panel is reviewing the state’s medical marijuana law and deciding whether certain conditions qualify for the program. On Tuesday the panel gave preliminary approval to post-traumatic stress disorder, but rejected petitions to add autism, insomnia, and asthma.
"In my opinion, marijuana is one of the best medications for people with PTSD," said appointee David Crocker, a medical doctor from Kalamazoo.
“We have a lot of veterans with PTSD in our clinics. Many of them will tell you they think marijuana saved their lives, and many of their families will tell you the same thing."
The panel voted 7 to 2 to approve PTSD.
A public hearing is scheduled to be held within 60 days, before the panel reconvenes for a final vote. The final say on qualified condition belongs to the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs, the agency which appointed the panel and will administer the medical marijuana program.
Insomnia will be revisited at the public hearing and given another vote. Autism and asthma however were considered final decisions because they were considered by a previous panel.

Abused children are believed to be more prone to PTS later in life due to trauma and I have to say I would not wish my childhood on anyone as it still haunts me today .. Many people deal with this disorder on a daily basis due to this world and its wrongs but with that said its only right to include this on the list for all that suffer from PTS . This includes soldiers , accident victims , rape victims and many more not listed .

I'd say that what I saw growing up on the streets of Detroit (70's & 80's) was not that dissimilar from what I saw on the battlefield. Later in life as as I watch my childhood friends and fellow soldiers lives fall apart, I cannot help but see the same root causes :(
