We need to stand up and fight

Med we are giving it to them now. Either thru the taxes we pay or the deficit we pass on, we are already paying for it. I good live for a very long time if only 1% of the money spent on marijuana in this country were to go in my pocket for one year and never run out of money. How about you?
Probably 1/4 of a percent would tighten me up for life. The problem with legalization is the lawmakers are afraid if they legalize it and one bad thing happens because of Marijuana, they will be blamed. No congressman wants to go out on a limb and fuck himself out of such a sweet job. Untill the majority of people are in favor of legalization, it will not happen. How are you ever going to get a majority of voters? In Nevada it lost 54%-46%, close but no cigar. You either have to convince another 5% to change their minds or wait untill the youth get old enough to vote and trot them out. The hippie culture of the 60s are now the voting culture, Go figure!

well you would think so but some people in Vermont are trying to do that and the hippies (a republican term that refers to a democrat that beleaves is the legalization and global warming) will vote for them

if we were to start a petition and we could get millions to sign it... do you think it would make a difference... if the voice of the people were heard do you think the government would have to act...

I think what would be affective is to have both smokers and non-smokers sign it

Yeah, something needs to be done, but I'm not gonna go to the protest or sign anything thats not anonymous...The feds take pictures and they always get my bad side...Call me parranoid ,but as some of you have noticed the U.S. goverment have declared war on us ohh about 30 years ago!!So if I were you I wouldnt disclose too much info (like where u from or what your family does) you never know how many cops are reading this sitejust waiting for someone to slip. Your goals are righteous but the strategy is wrong...
Did you know That Pablo Escobar was loved by most Columbians? Why? He did alot for the comunity...The only way we are gona win this war is by constantly breaking the laws they unjustly enforse on us,by constantly expanding our individual operations, by growing and arming our individual clans and by finding new ways to distribute...They will be overwelmed just like they were with liquer during the prohabition.Unfortunatly now is not the time for organised action, the risk of infiltration is just too great and I have way too much to loose...Read LaoTzus "art of war" it will help you win the war on drugs...:peace:

the illegalization of weed started as racial issue.....there really isnt a reason why its illegal

I understand where you are coming from victor... all of the large tobbaco companies have probably been waiting for weed to be legalized forever... they probably already have a contingency plan for getting it on the market... instead the gov. wastes revenue on trying to catch people for pot when the millions and millions of dollars spent under the table on marijuana and the money the spend trying to catch people could be spent on better things like education or god forbid new sources of energy... it is like a double whammy the government not only spends tons of money on the war on drugs but they lose out on all of the potential tax revenue that legalizing marijuana could bring to the table... and i don't think many people would grow it because its not that easy #1 and #2 if you could go buy a pack of joints of good shit (because you know if tobbaco companies were producing it they could grow some grade A shit) for $4 about the cost of ciggarettes then people would just go buy it from the store... bottom line that is an ass of tax money just think 6% of $4 times 500 million packs yearly and that is probably a low number compared to what the actual sales would be... not to mention what they would pay to the government in the distrabution process... also think of how many jobs that would create... and if being a pot technician for a major company and making jumbo bucks for growing good pot isn't the best job ever i don't know what is...

all of the large tobbaco companies have probably been waiting for weed to be legalized forever... they probably already have a contingency plan for getting it on the market... .. The major Tobacco companies have trademarked all the popular pot names, like Acapulco gold, Panama red, columbian gold, zacategas, Thai sticks, Cambodian red, Etc. so you know they are just waiting for the word. I'm sure they have all the latest strains in their catalog.

It's their backup primarily. Tobacco are in no way interested in legal pot. Something to smoke that's 99% healthier than tobacco! All they're trying to do is hedge their bets.

Overgrow is the way to go.

I agree with you 100% and to this day am disappointed with the rational of the early 1900's.
However, prohibition has come and gone making alcohol available to the masses, yet mj is still a criminals drug. Societies opinions will maintain until such time as those afraid of scorn stand up and be counted.

I don't foresee Bill Gates letting everyone know his toking habits. Too immediate a response (falling sales, stocks etc...) for a person to handle.
