So i know better than to Harvest Early, I started with Bag Seed so an Entire Unknown Status right there.
This is the Second time i have Grown this Strain, I am able to compare mistakes and differences, Last Harvest i took her down 'Early' At the 15th Week mark of Flower, At the time i had No 'Bloom' Nutrients.
She was Suffering from the Below:
》P/K Nutrient Deficiency
》Cal/Mag Deficiency
》Over Watering
》Over Feeding (Millilitres to Litres)
》Insufficient Air Flow/Exchange
》Heat Stress (30°C to 44°C)
》Aphid Infested Soil (Thrips)
》Hot Days into Cold Nights
》Foliar Feeding in Flower @ Wk 5
》De-Leaf & Super-Crop in Flower
(^^Plant Stress Delays Maturation^^)
Just a Few of Many problems that i dealt with on a daily basis, By Week 9 Flower i had little to no leaves, By Week 12 the small leaves and outer bud started Yellowing, By week 14 the buds Felt dry, Dry Dead Leaves Attached deep in the bud and the Soil was soaking, The buds outer layer was crisping off, Worst of all the Trichomes stayed Clear and didnt ripen at all, i gave it 2 day's of Darkness and chopped her down, The buds Smelt Amazingly sweet & turned out Really Oily.
The Smoke had No high but Had full Tasting Flavour, Atleast i flushed Properly that round.
This time, I was so angry, i took my anger out on some learning material & hit the room hard, I ended up short timing myself and only hung a 4x4 room for my 400w, This time i was going to Start flowering WITH the HPS light instead of 'Compact Fluorescent Lights' Respectfully.
》I Used Coco & Perlite @ a Good Mix
》Aquired a 1 Part Bloom Nutrient
》Better Air Flow & Exchange Indoor
》Aquired Holland PK 13-14 Booster
》Used Dutch Master Potash+ Early
》1 Water/Feed Day to 4 Dry Days
》Plenty of Fresh Water PH 6.0
》Continued to Research
》Continued to Think about Research
This time Round, Week 5 Flower had Struck, Leaves Started to Slightly Yellow from there on, I tried Supplementing Nitrogen, I had PH in Range, I Supplemented Cal/Mag, I Raised & Lowered Water & Coco PH, I Added Extra Cool Air Exchange, I Raised & Lowered Humidity (RH), I Researched Over and Over Again.
To No Expense of mine, I couldnt stop it, Just like last round she ate her Entire Source of Leaves until they Yellowed & Turned Horribly Crispy, So i got Mad again, Slept on it and Woke up Blaming the Genetics., Literally Pointing my Finger at the Plant and Yelling 'Fffff., Uuck yoou'
The Buds are Really getting there this Round, I can say, DM Potash+ & PK 13-14 Do not always make Huge Buds, Infact Last round due to the Buds Foxtailing it made them look much, much bigger, The cola was named (Donkey's Dik) for a reason, But this round not so big? I understand Compact Growth, And the fact she had 2 Main Heads & Has been in SCROG since Veg, Let me Correct, 3 Main Heads because 1 is 'Acting' Like it.
So again, A Learning Curve! Finding high Nitrogen in my Bloom Nutrient, Realising it was Reaching 36°C inside & Most of all Being able to Compare over all growth.
Week 10 Day 2: Trichomes seem to be clouding, not pure White but they are 'Fogging' & im trying to keep temps cool because i figured last round ontop of Clear Trichomes i had the Heat De-Grading what ever THC was there.
So i have cut off 1 of the smallest buds from the plant to let dry, And to My Amazement i can see All 3 Clear, Foggy & some Cloudy Trichomes via x30 Loupe, Light hours are Down to 10/14 On/Off, Only just Noticible but the Sugar leaves on some of the buds are starting to turn yellow from the tips, The Smell is Now very Dank & Strong, Very, Very Oily.
Ill test the bud when its dry, Im testing from now because i read an article that Sativa Dominant Strains can Actually De-Grade the THC before even turning Full Milky, I also picked up that THC Has many Windows of Harvest like the bud Itself, The THC Can & Will ripen, Degrade, Grow More, Ripen, Degrade & so on until you literally have a fully finished ripe plant. As i said before though, Trichomes can also just Fog up then degrade and nit take on the course or role of ripening and degrading until Properly Ripe.
Patience is Virtue, But THC May Never Ripen, Meaning Life has Fooled you at its Best.
