Exactly. Uncle Buck should be able to grow weed or suck dick or both if that makes him happy. However he consistently champions policies that insist people should have freedom abridged by government. That's to file expenses.

The IRS wants your tax dollars from earnings on illegal drugs though.

Edit: say you bought a new grow light or other gardening equipment. You are not allowed to file that as an expense. You still have to pay your federal income tax on your sales.
