What do you do when you grow too much weed?

I trade it for gas and food

I give what I can away. I play a game where I give friends a ziploc bag and tell them to 'grab some' and they usually pick out a bud or two, and then I say, 'no like this" and pack the bag all the way full.

Now that I've done that a few times, a few core people will reach out and say 'soo....that was great...Mind if I come over again?"

Also, grow less and grow longer (if you like the process). Now I do two plants at a time and do things that are more heavily sativa and take time to get to harvest.

Trade as much as you can, I get the impression you don’t want to sell it or if you allready do then you don’t want to widen ur market. Trading is brilliant if you know the right stoners, had structural engineers come and do a survey for an oz

if you can be arsed and feel like doing it, make a point of donating it to people who need it for meds, and look for people who need it. Will get u into heaven that shit, and help people while your at it, modern day Flowers Nightingale

Autos or photos?
I like photos- if I grew 8 it would a long time to process without help. A nice trim job takes time.
6’ photos are averaging 12-16 hrs each to wet trim and hang. If wet trimming- Try to pick the most ready and cut a few stalks at a time until you get a feel for how long each one takes. Don’t chop an entire plant unless you have the time to process. I suppose this is why large operations utilize dry trimming so they can chop everything and start new crop. I found dry trimming to take even longer and was more tedious. Like everything else there is opinions on which is better for end product but I think it is splitting hairs so I chose what is best for me.
They have fancy machines to trim dry bud but tumbling dry breaks trics off.
I make butter and hash from any good trim including popcorn buds. Good stuff goes in mason jars with boveda

Every so often I get hit by how ridiculous it is that I have this much weed. I used to have to stretch eighths. I would save all of my dottle for when I ran out. I couldn't just go buy it from a dispensary either. I would have to call some douche bag and make arrangements to meet, and a lot of the time I would have to wait until they got back into town because they were at Burning Man or some shit.

This is what I would imagine buying a cow feels like. "Yo cow, this is almost too much milk. I'm going to have to make cheese. Thanks!"

This is how it is with our pepper plants. I end up giving gallon bags of peppers to coworkers

I’ve always given away 1/2 to 3/4 of my weed. I just enjoy growing it more than anything.

Plus weed is pretty much worthless here now since legalization, where as before I was getting up to $3k a elbow, now you can buy a elbow legally for $600.

Almost to the point of just buying my weed since power is getting pretty crazy too at $.16 KWH

Give away, and I got a rosin press so I turned those 30 jars into 3 jars and have them in the freezer. Too much dope takes up so much space.

Sativas are definately worth the time invested... + not that much real sativa out there, and people appreciate the difference.

Yea I was thinking how long to trim.
I can only have 4 plants with auto’s indoors in a tiny space. The thought of that much weed is enticing.

Every time I do a big harvest I think I’ll never smoke all this yet in a few short weeks or months it’s gone again. When I end up with a lot of extra I make a big batch of concentrate and edibles. Canna-coconut oil is the catch all end product; even shitty larf makes great oil.
Edibles make great gifts. Everyone seems happy when offered heady goodies from my kitchen. You can freeze weed and/or edibles or infused coconut oil for years. It’s nice to pop a canna pumpkin spice muffin or cosmic brownie in the nuker for them daze you gotta run…

Throw extra that you don’t need in the trash.

I usually grow way more than I can smoke in a year. Mostly make bubble hash and put it away. Just broke out a temple ball from last years run, and tastes amazing. My brother, niece, and a couple friends live up north, and I keep them stocked thru the year, prices down state at dispensaries is rock bottom, but up there, they are still commanding top dollar, so they throw some gas in the tank, and I take them a bountiful bag that gets them thru until the next time I can get the time to run up there. Just took them 2-1 gallon bags and a couple temple balls to get them thru until Christmas, then I'll run some more up to them.
Nothing better for me than helping friends and family.

I downscaled and started microgrowing. Tiny plants in tiny containers, inside tiny tents with tiny lights. Still get too much bud and don't even bother trimming most of it, just give it away.

I've always said there should be a grownup Halloween where adults trick or treat for drugs. The kids can stay at home and give out the drug treats. That's fine.

When I have a harvest that nets me pounds I do the same as when I harvest much less. Store it in mason jars deep in a dark and cool closet. I also give away some along the way but if I have enough I’ll skip growing for a year or two.
