What do you do with your trimmings???????

tinture any guide to that process
I am sure there are many ways to make a tincture... here's one easy way.

Take a mason jar (of whatever size, depending on how much you are making), fill the jar with your trim/sugar leaves (dried), fill the jar almost to the top (I leave about '2 fingers' space at the top of the jar), fill the jar with FOOD GRADE alcohol (NOT Iso). Everclear is good, though I can't buy it here in canada, so I used 151 proof rum. Shake the jar, then put it away somewhere dark, and shake the jar twice a day. After a week to 10 days, I took the jar and poured it into my coffee Bodem (one of those glass coffee carafe's with a press to push the grinds to the bottom) you can also use cheesecloth or a fine sieve. Either way, remove the plant material from the tincture. What you have at this point is a weak tincture. I have had people drink a small bottle of this stuff with no real 'change'. The trick to a good tincture is to 'cook it down', i.e. remove the alcohol. The coolest way I have seen to do this is to use a baby bottle warmer (tinc being in the baby bottle) which has some tubing running from the top of the bottle, through a hole in the magnet strip into a fridge freezer into another bottle. High grade tincture that way... I used a double boiler method, mine worked, but I am looking for a tincture that will give you a bit of a buzz taking it orally.
