Brett from Heart&Soil Seeds works with Landraces do produce unique genetics. He has traveled to countries like Peru to bring back landrace seeds to hunt and work with.
I respect any breeder who would go to such lengths to go direct and in search of something special to work with.

If you're in CA, you should be able to get some original clone only shit.

I haven't explored clone only. I'm always skeptical about delivery of clones but I wouldn't mind driving 1-4 hours to pick up. I've only ran things from seed buying genetics from banks. The only person I've taken cuts of some things of is a trusted home grower where I'm at.

Stop buying cheap seeds from Seedsman and Crap King. Pay for good genetics
I've been saying this for years. In the mid 2000's My first ever grow was some Greenhouse White Widow and World of Seeds Columbian Gold.. it was better quality than the regular commercial street stuff but it didn't knock my socks off or anything. The White Widow tasted like green tea and was about just as potent. Horrible germ rates too on those very expensive Greenhouse seeds.

Soon thereafter I discussed Subcool and Bodhi. I was then growing Space Queen, Jack's Cleaner II, Agent Orange by TGA.. and not long after some Purple Moonshine by Bodhi. Those experiences were life changing. It really showed me that great genetics were crucial to the quality factor of the end resulting harvest. It also paved the way for my belief that some of the very best genetics in the world come from home breeder style enthusiasts and connoisseurs here in the USA and not from big Amsterdam/Holland based companies.

These big names like Greenhouse and a lot of the overseas breeders of yesterday typically make their seeds in big greenhouses. Quality isn't their goal.. making seeds as cheap as possible on a large scale is much more important. Lots of overpriced mass produced trash seed.

When there's guys out there like Bodhi, Strayfox, Doc D, Copa, Professor P, etc... selling packs of reasonably priced high quality seeds, it makes zero sense to me why anyone would be out there buying some of those trash seeds.. unless they're complete noobs and just don't know any better. That's what happened to me when I first started out.

they went to every major "famous" location they could get to, and destroyed those genetics by giving local growers outside seeds.
so they didn't get to every strain, but they were far from the only "weed tourists" out there, i'll give you five bucks and let you kick me in the ass once if you can find any place on earth that still has it's old school genetics intact....
and a landrace is exactly what i said it was, because i copied that from merriam webster...you wanna say they're arguing from ignorance?

Yeah, I won a few packs from them some time back. I think it was on ICMag, but can't remember for sure. I grew out their Purple Kush, which seems to be legit PCK. I gave a pack of their Red Russian away, and got great reports on it. I still have a pack of their Early Durbin that I want to pop this year and hope to find a keeper.
