THE GUY FLAMING YOU DOE NOT KNOW WHAT HE IS TALKING ABOUT!!! He is confused and mixing up supper cropping with LST. There is absolutly no pinching of any kind involved with LST.
.......Prepare for the butt hurts that are coming........
I dont lst or supercrop, but when I was reading that I was thinking.. isnt that supercropping not lst?

Haha never mean to "flame" you man. It's the Internet, take things easy.

But you need to pinch in order to lst anyways. Not only are you pinching you are folding the stem over as well. Just because low stress is in the name don't mean it's any less stressfull. Pinching is half of lst, so how is it MORE stressfull? Please explain?
I don't pinch my plants that I'm lsting and never have. pinching really isn't low stressIMG_0177.jpg
This is one of my lst girls.

To add to LST being less stress. If you start out while they are young the stem is very easy to bend down along with all new growth that you LST after that. I have never had to pinch or do anything other than loop one string around a branch and tie it down to a hole in the pot.

If I was a plant, I would say lst is more stressfull. Everyday, you just try to reach the sky, but some guy tying you down again and again.
It seems like never ending nightmare.
Pinching is just an idiot broke your stem and thats it. You thrive to survive and eventually you do (hopefully)

Continually LST but only pinch once? Comparing apples and oranges. Would you rather be bent gradually at the waist or have an idiot just break your kneecaps?

LST=LowStressTraining=Tie Down
Pinching/Bending=Stress Training=Damage (beneficially)
LST+Pinching/bending= SuperCroping=YIELD

Please, do not spread bad knowledge....

Ok then, you are in torture room, and one guy bent it gradually, Its been 10 min and just think about the stress youve been into.
In the other case, the guy suddenly break your kneecap. You start screaming. While you are in pain, you can not think about a thing and, so, you do not have any time to stress out. After that, the guy let you go, in 1-2 min (probably you would not be able to walk, you need an ambulance)

I don't get it....You are saying pinching is more stressful right?

lmao workin that analogy into the ground eh? I was joking with you bud. Comparing a mammal's stress response to that of a plant is never going to actually demonstrate or prove anything. My point was that one method causes no actual damage, while the other does.

If you're not understanding how physically damaging a plant by pinching it is more stressful(read: damaging) than forcing it to re-direct itself towards the light (like they naturally do anyways), you need to spend some time with an intro to bio text.

No lst, though I am not a plant :)
I think both of them fine. but, prefer non of them.
What I say is, if you need it, then do it. If you care about feeling of your baby, dont bother :)

I have been supercropping now for a week an have noticed good results. I dont pinch to the point of breaking, just enough to break the outer layer of stem. When the stem heals itself it becomes thinker and stronger and leaves seem to grow quicker, ive tried lst and the stem becomes stronger but usually plant grows taller quicker which is not what i want
