What kind of light? Is that a quantum?
The three light bars on the left are QB 288 V2 based by Timber Grow Lights. Model 3SAML that go up to 100W per QB; I run each one at 200W total draw (so 60ish per QB). The one on the right is my old faithful Tasty LED T3-2100; Cree 3590 based. All of them have served me well. :leaf:

I was going by the price of the fire bloom which is over $100 a liter. But here you go. Nothing fancy just everything the plant needs. I've been using it for years. It's all I use other than maybe a dose of potassium sulphate which I buy for dirt cheap as well. Same stuff all the fancy nutrients are made of just in powder form for pennies on the dollar. I grow nice healthy plants with it. I also use it on house plants, in the garden, container plants, etc... That's because cannabis uses the same nutrients other plants use. Cannabis specific nutrients are a money grab.

I’m about to try it out thanks, I’m all about saving some money

I was planning on using dairy doo premium flower 201 it has manure, worm castings, bat guano, pearlite, bloodworm meal and a bunch of other stuff in it. i can get it for $150 a yard. I think I only need a yard for 12 20 gallon pots.
You might not need any additional nutrients with that soil. If you do you won't need much and not for awhile.

I'm not saying it's better but it is much cheaper. I'm sure the Heavy 16 grows healthy plants.

thank you, I never even thought about the nutrients already in the soil I could have burned the hell out of my plants.
is there anything I could use to help nutrient intake of my plants?

I don't think you need anything that probably isn't already in it. I looked at the website and if anything I'd mix the 201 with the 301 50/50 and then supplement later with teas if you need to. You're using basically an organic supersoil. I wouldn't use chemical nutrients. The organics section has lots of info on brewing teas and such.

What's so simple about mixing different amounts of eight different bottles at different weeks? And I just looked at the price! It's ridiculous. A liter of the fire bloom costs more than I spend for at least two years worth of the nutrients I use and I can guarantee they grow just as good of weed as heavy 16. I can't believe the price people are paying for these cannabis specific nutrients.

I just crunched some numbers and I can go three years maybe more for the price of one liter of that fire bloom. And that's continually having plants in flower.
Give your cannabis plants only pertinent organics in its soil.. I have been getting off the stupid over priced bottled nutes, and strictly trying organics soil n ferts only latley. And I have never been happier with how my strain I am growing latley on how it has turned out. Way more lush bigger, happier, than when I was bottle feeding once every week to 10 day. Mammoth P is an excellent micro enoculator of living micros! But from my exp. Wi the MP, make sure you have a large pot or in ground. Because it will make your roots explode under the right growing conditions I know cause a couple yrs back I root bounded a couple in a 5 gall pot using it. It was really as effective as claimed. The only shitty thing , bout MP is the price, but ya get what ya pay for wi it.:blsmoke:

Mammoth P is a mammoth rip-off in my book!

For god sake. Brew your own simple AACT bio teas and do just as good for almost the rest of your life on what a gallon of MP costs!
You'll get a far better spectral spread of more concentrated living bio's in making your own!
DO NOT use ANY formula with KELP MEAL in it! Kelp meal in AACT will reduce living bio activity by as much as 40%
Put the Kelp meal in your soil as you build it!
Some Alfalfa meals will add a few other different bio's but you up the NPK a little.

I like to add a bit of composted steer manure once in a while.....This adds some different fungal's to the mix GOOD stuff! Still, this is also a part of my soil builds.

ANY use of a humic/fulvic mix......Should be done with BIO AG - FULHUMIX They make the BEST humic/fulvic supplements on the market today! Same for their mineral mix's like TM-7...
These are water soluble mix's that I use to wet down my soil builds to cook.

Remember that mineral depletion in soils takes like a year of actual use to start needing a boost, or re-amendment. So watch mineral content in supplements...Go light if you want to try TM-7 mid run....

Building your own soils takes trial and error. Along with the knowledge of what the plant is telling you when you look at it.

One of the best places to start to learn about SS or Water only soils (always keep an organic liquid feed around - you will have to use some at some point till you get a soil formula dialed in. I have always liked Age Old organic nutrients for this. I always have some around,, best damn pumpkin and squash nutrient around! - Use the bloom for that....)

I suggest you read these book's - I give them to you in pdf files so you don't have to spend your money....Makes them easier to read.

This is the teaming with nutrients book

Here is a good link to many organic growing and organic process books and publications - read some after the above 2 books!

Good luck if you choose this path.

I do mainly organic WO soils and have different formula's for different strain needs..I do one basic veg soil and several bloom soils...This is one big step beyond single soil use.....I find it more effective and giving more specific results by strain needs.

I do still do some synthetic use....Fun in a way... I have settled in (after many years) on the Botanicare KIND line. This is so simple and easy to adjust delivery rates as needed.

Jacks Citrus would be the powder nutrient I would say to perfect use with first. As a powder anyway. It contains higher S content and that delivers superior trich and terp production/expression...

Thanks Doc, that's a ton of great info in those links that I have been looking for. I myself have been trying to get off the bottle, and go strictly organic. But wow there's a whole lot to know about how to create a great cannabis soil organically. Lots of summer reading while chilling wi my girls in the yard. :bigjoint:

That is definitely true. My first attempt at making and growing in supersoil was the worst grow I had in years. Didn't let it cook long enough, made it too strong, etc... Problems showed up mid flower. Just had to ride it out. Plants were all burned up. I thought I knew better than those that have been making supersoil for years. I was wrong. I'm back in coco for now. I'll give it another try in the near future. Next time I'll follow a decent recipe, mix it, bag it, and let it set for a few months before using it.

I use dairy doo’s seed starter then go to the 301 for final potting. The smoking tomatoes line is the exact same just 4 dollars more.
