So I been feeding about 600 ppm 2 x a day in coco. Buds were slow growing. I increase the ppm to 800 2 x a day the past week and I'm Seeing much better bud growth. Should I try 900 or a 1000 ppm see if she handles it or not?

With coco you’re going to see burning much faster so I would bump it to 1000 and just check for no problems. Go up little by little after 1000 till the tips are burning then you know
Thanks im going to try see how she responds

I personally only check PPM and EC in the event of a problem I cannot otherwise solve. The genius of coco, you create your formula & you just repeat it, to runoff, and everything should run smoother and for longer than a Ford Taurus. There shouldn't be a need to constantly check it, unless you haven't perfected your mix. Hell, I don't even check my pH daily either again unless some problem pops up. I know that x ml of x products per gallon of my tap water is a specific PPM/EC and pH.

PPM/EC is a good baseline reference but its not something you should always follow. Different environments and plant sizes, grow medium etc will all change how much PPM you feed. I would use the plants as your guide in how much to feed or how little to feed and feed.

If you feed by volume (e.g ml/gal or grams/gal etc) then you won't need a meter or any fancy electronics, Just some pH Drops to keep your pH in the desired range based on whatever your growing in coco/soil/soilless etc..

A fun example is I used MaxiGro instead of MaxiBloom in VEG and the amount of Nitrogen in it burned my clones but I actually viewed it as a deficiency, later found out I needed to use WAY less.

Thats what i have done with my res, and put on my chart how many ml of ph down i need to add to the mix at the end to get it to the right ph i check that once after its sat for a bit before i feed then dont check anything untill next res mix

depends where your taking measurements from as going from the feed bottles will leave u with a very high ec... always best to start with a meter i would say then once u na whats what u can put the meters down
