What the Funk?

Did you guys see where George was inducted into the songwriter's hall of fame? Bout time.

He is a genius song writer, a lot of people don't know that. The guy writes songs in his sleep, he's like Willie Nelson in that way. Every time he talks he's writing a song.

You Tube has my feed filled with MB covers. This is a good one.

You can clearly hear the love and appreciation for the original version in this one! So many people try to put their own artistic stamp on Maggot brain, but this is a true tribute to Eddie's genius.
Thanks for sharing this!

Probably my favorite P-Funk album cover.

The character "Wiggles the Worm", on the sleeve below on a roller skate playing with a yo-yo, is subtle nod to Junie Morrison's involvement in the band at the time. Junie Morrison wrote a song called "The Funky Worm" while he was with the Ohio Players, later he left the Ohio Players and joined P-Funk.

On the inside there are pop outs. The city of Atlantis, to the right, and other characters that you can pop out and play with. There are slots in the cover to insert the city of Atlantis into so that the city pops up when you open the cover. I never popped mine out because I wanted to keep the cover intact.

This is what the city of Atlantis looks like when the tabs are inserted(not my picture).
